Hey there blogging beauties!
Apologies for me disappearing yet again. I have got to do better with this whole consistent blogging thing. I’m working on it and if you don’t get another post this time next week I literally give you permission to bite my head off in the comments.
To make it up with you I thought I’d come back with a review of one of my favourite types of reviews. Foundations. Shall we get started?
Coverage: A good ol’ medium coverage foundation. This doesn’t classify as full coverage, I mean you could build it up but you’d need a lot of product so it’s not really worth it. I use it the way it’s meant to be – an awesome medium coverage.
Skin types appropriate for this foundation: drier skin types unite! Ya’ll about to fall head over heels for this foundation
Longevity: it lasts a pretty decent time on the skin. It’s not necessarily marketed as a long wearing foundation but it lasts long enough for a typical day. Definitely a good foundation for everyday wear!
Application: I’m oddly enough obsessed with using my ecotools buffing brush to apply this foundation but the choice is up to you. Do you!
Formula: this is where it gets so good! I’m pretty much convinced the formula is magic. Not only is it creamy, hydrating, applies smoothly. Something about it makes your skin appear very smooth. A lot of foundation tend to go funny on my skin and the texture of my skin becomes strange BUT this foundation makes you look like you have an Instagram filter on your face. Just a heads up the foundation has a bit of a perfume-like scent. It doesn’t feel at all heavy on the skin and the scent isn’t really noticeable a few minutes after application.
Packaging: it has a frosted glass packaging and feels pretty good quality and a bit heavy. It of course has a pump but the strange thing is I notice that the pump doesn’t release as much as other foundations. This could be both a good or bad thing – good because it helps you control the perfect amount. Bad because you might have to do a third pump entirely but it hasn’t really affected my use of the product.
Who would love this foundation?: Any girl with a drier skin type or normal. Those of you looking for a good medium coverage foundation and want your skin’s texture to look awesome.
Who wouldn’t like this foundation: Oiler skin types. Sorry guys. I don’t have oily skin so my foundation selection probably won’t be to your liking.
Shade range: the shade range is slightly funky (by that I mean it runs dark). I was able to make the shade ivory just work for me. I’m talking just barely. When I’m at my palest its half a shade too dark for me but I’m able to blend it down my neck and all is well.
Availability: Aussie peeps can get it from target and Myer in store and obviously off their site. Sorry international peeps they won’t have it in store for you but their site does ship internationally so you can get tons of their stuff from there!
Overall thoughts: I really do love this foundation. Definitely even my everyday pile minus my very long days where I need to rely on full coverage.
Would I repurchase this? Definitely! I spent what felt like a month trying to track down my shade since the light shades sell out quickly but that doesn’t matter to me. This is definitely one worth repurchasing.
Have you guys tried this foundation? Tell me in the comments what’s a foundation you’ve been loving. Have an awesome day guys and I’ll see you in the next post. (no seriously you will see me soon this time I promise!)
