NYX Butter Glosses

Hey there guys! Reviews are becoming a standard on here but this actually my first lip product related review. I know, for someone who loves to hoard lip products you’d think I’d have reviews coming out left right and center for this category of makeup.

To keep myself from babbling on, I’m going to jump right into things and get into the review.

Formula?: Unlike some other lip glosses, the formula of this product is quite hydrating and comfortable to wear. There is only a slight tackiness to the formula, making it not slip off the lips too quickly. If you are choosing bolder shades, tread carefully, since they are lip glosses they will bleed out slightly so adjust accordingly.
Shades I own?: Peaches and cream and Tiramisu
Longevity?: usually glosses aren’t known for their longevity by the slight tackiness to the butter glosses keep them on the lips much longer than usual.
Shade range?: In tradition with NYX products the shade range is massive considering it’s drugstore nature, they cover a good deal of shades. Depending on where you purchase them from influences the access to all the shades they have for the butter glosses. If you purchase them from target, the shade range is limited. If you get them from the target site or crush cosmetics you can get almost all the shades.
Color intensity: The bright lip colors like reds, purples, vampy reds, hot pinks carry much more color intensity for obvious reasons. But as a whole these lip products are more pigmented than a typical lip gloss.
Packaging and application: Standard packaging with a wand applicator.
Finish: The name pretty much gives this away. They are called butter glosses, hence the finish is going to be glossy. There are no big glitter chunks or anything of the tacky variety.
Availability: Target, crush cosmetics, Blue scandal in regards to where Australians can access this product and NYX products as a whole.
Price: $9.95 AUD
Who would love it?: Those who are looking for lip glosses that punch more of a punch, people who want a lip product that doesn’t dry their lips out, lip gloss fans in general, people who are looking for a lazy lip options. Also people who love a good shade range with a lip product will love this product.
Who wouldn’t like it?: Peeps who don’t like lip glosses, people who only like matte finishes
Rating: 8 / 10
Overall thoughts?: I can’t really fault this product. I personally wouldn’t go for super-duper bold shades, if I did I’d apply them in a way that they would tint my lips because I don’t like having to worry about what I am wearing on my lips. Other than that they’re awesome, comfortable on the lips, affordable and more interesting than a typical lip gloss.
Would I purchase more shades?: Yes I would. I do have my eyes on more of the pink shades.
Would I repurchase it? What shades would I repurchase?: I’d definitely repurchase Tiramisu.

That’s it for the post kiddos! Have you guys tried these NYX butter glosses? What shades do you like? What other lip glosses do you guys love? Tell me about them in the comments below.

Ive tried the NYX butter gloss and i am not a big fan. it's sticky and doesn't settle well on my lips. Maybe it's just me. I will admit i like the tint it gives.
