ChiChi Color Correcting Cream

Hey hey ma peeps! I feel like I haven’t done a review of a foundation esque product in a while so that’s what I’m going to do today.
Here we go!

Coverage: Very light coverage. Technically the purpose of a CC cream is to wear underneath a foundation to assist with color correcting and evening out skin tone. But if you want a very natural coverage, this product is perfect for that.
Skin types appropriate for this foundation: It’s great for normal to dry skin. If peeps with oily skin types want to enjoy this product I’d suggest including a primer to aid in longevity and a setting spray.
Longevity: Normal to dry skin, it lasts a pretty decent amount of time, better than a BB cream. Oiler skin types may have to bring in reinforcements as I mentioned above.
Application: It applies quite smoothly and I never have any issues with blending. It doesn’t set to quickly but it doesn’t transfer easily or remain unset after it’s been applied. I personally love applying this with the Real techniques expert face brush.
Packaging: There’s no issue with the packaging. Its tube like with a pump applicator that doesn’t make the product come out too difficultly and doesn’t pour out too much product at a time.
Formula: This CC cream has a nice creamy light texture that blends out very easily. It’s super lightweight but not watery so it won’t leave brush strokes when you blend it out. It also is not cakey in any way what so ever. I mean you could wear this underneath a medium or full coverage foundation and still no cakeyness would ensue. Granted that the foundation you apply over the CC cream is a good foundation.
Finish: About a demi-matte to satin finish. It’s not dewy but it isn’t matte. Also if you are wearing this underneath a foundation, its finish won’t affect the top coat.
Who would love this foundation?: People who are pretty happy with their skin and just want something to help with evening out skin tone. Those looking for just a natural base or people who are looking for something to wear underneath their foundation if they have issues with discoloration.
Who wouldn’t love this foundation?: Peeps for looking for incredible long lasting, and full coverage.
Shade range: Not a crazy shade range with a lot of options but it’s pretty decent considering most cc creams have like 2 shades. Also this particular one caters for fair complexion.
Price: $29.99
Availability: Myer, Targetand the ChiChi website This is an Australian product but on the chichi website it is available internationally.
Rating: 8/10
Overall thoughts: I’m a major fan of this CC cream. I love how I can use it both as a natural look and underneath a foundation to give a flawless look. It’s hydrating, includes a shade that works well with my skin tone. I don’t have any complaints. It is a bit pricey for a drugstore CC cream but us Australian’s are pretty much use to over paying for makeup.
Would I repurchase this?: Definitely, it’s a great product and comes quite in handy.

That wraps up todays post guys! Have you tried this product out? What are your thoughts on CC creams? Let me know in the comments below.

[…] Chichi CC cream | This type of look really looks its best with a light foundation or base like product. If you need a full coverage foundation try and use a dewy one. I like doing this sort of base when my skin is actually behaving. I’m using a CC cream for this look just because, any light coverage foundation or even a bb cream / tinted moisture would also work. |Review| […]
