Holy grail hall of fame

Well hello there internet peeps!
With all the makeup products we love to try out, all the hype we here about certain beauty products, the phrase ‘Holy grail’ is throw around. What does it actually mean though? It surpasses the term ‘favorite’ by a lot. We can have many favorite products but ‘holy grail’ is the favorite of favorites! I’m talking about ride or die, can’t live without kind of products. The kind of products that are wonderful in every way possible!
So this post will be talking about all of the products that have become legendary for me. Now the list may be a tad long but I have mixed skincare and makeup and I was quite vigilant with selecting the products that made the list, there’s still an ocean of products that I love but only the A stars made the cut.

Ramblings on aside lets kick start with talking about these superstar beauty products. And this one is going to be a long one so you may want to make yourself a cup of tea and have snacks beside you.

I’m being captain obvious with this product over here but it deserves a mention. Heck it deserves its own private island, a life time movie about it and like 12 bouquets of roses. Not to be too over dramatic. It’s the only highlighter I own that gives a beautiful and dramatic glow but doesn’t secretly taint you with glitter, only to be revealed when the sun hits your face. This is perfectly day time wear and still looks like an angel planted a kiss on your cheekbones! It also makes a very pretty eye shadow AND it’s not crazy expensive. I do have a review already up on this, click hereto see it.
Now it’s the bronzer, well contour shade that has made holy grail status in this trio kit. It’s the most gorgeous, natural but noticeable shade for contouring. Absolutely perfect for becoming a transition shade underneath a pretty intense contour or even for setting a cream contour. It also makes a holy grail eye shadow shade being brilliant at once again being a transition shade. On my lazy days I like to just run this all over the lid and crease, slap on a champagne colored eyeshadow and be on my way. I do like the blush and highlighter but boy do I wish this contour shade was sold separately since it’s pretty obvious I’m going to hit pan on it first. Click here to read the review!

Now let’s talk about a skincare product that has absolutely changed the way I have removed my makeup. Not only has it eliminated my laziness towards doing such which means I now never go to bed with my makeup on, it hasn’t broken me out or caused irritation towards my skin. It makes removing foundation so so easy, and I’d say 90% of your makeup comes off with this product. It leaves my skin feeling soft, isn’t harsh and is a pretty fancy brand considering it’s decently priced. I recommend cleansing oils in general for removing makeup, so if you don’t have access to this one OR this particular one breaks you out, don’t give up. Keep looking for a cleansing oil you can get and that won’t affect your skin badly. I know the body shop also has one around $7 more. I find this one just does everything so I don’t need to stray. Besides you can find it in Pricelines which have many many stores everywhere and it’s frequently on sale. I also have a review already up on this gem, click here to see it!

Before this superstar entered my life I thought it was impossible to have a long lasting full coverage foundation that wasn’t dry like the Sahara desert. I am really glad to be proven wrong because dam is this foundation legendary. Not only is it full coverage, it’s very hydrating on dry / dehydrated skin AND it lasts a brilliant length of time on the skin. It comes in a lot of shades though I’ll admit they run slightly darker then desired, though I have become ridiculously tanned recently that the shade I own which is the lightest shade they make is way too dark for me. In a nut shell this foundation is AMAZEBALLS and you’d hope so considering its price. To see the review for this click here.

Didn’t this bronzer basically become a shirtless Ryan Gosling for ever fair skinned makeup enthusiast who was looking for a bronzer that didn’t make them look muddy or orange! Now I personally have the shade 01 light, but since becoming much tanner due to frequent beach trips I do see myself purchasing the second or possibly third shade. There are three shades in total so just because you aren’t super pale doesn’t mean you can’t love this product as well. Now it’s completely matte because shimmery / glittery bronzers do not have any place in my heart. It has quite a smooth buttery formula and goes on really nicely. It’s kinda cool tones can make it good for contouring; you could just go a shade up if you want your contour to be a bit more noticeable. This is a pretty great bronzer, body shop makeup needs more recognition then it gets.

Another brilliant skincare product that has really helped me tackle skincare issues. This one is for you girls that have dry / dehydrated skin, struggle with dry patches and find that your foundation sits awkwardly on your skin. This stuff works! Not only does it give your skin instant suppleness but I’ve really noticed my foundation has been sitting on my skin very well! It use to look iffy and powdery and cakey even though I didn’t apply a lot of product. I noticed since beginning to use this product I have much more good foundation days, hallelujah! I’m almost out of my second bottle and kinda freaking out because I don’t have a backup yet. Click here to see the review.

It’s not easy finding a hydrating primer in the drugstore that’s actually hydrating. Many of them just claim to blur pores when they actually don’t and others don’t actually have much effect at all. So of course when I discovered which was quite a miraculous event I was thrilled. By miraculous I mean it was one of those things that make you believe in fate. When it first came out Innoxa were doing a giveaway on Instagram where they would send it to the first 50 people and I happened to win. This is a product I’d never pick up on my own mostly due to the fact that it’s targeted towards aging skin. Do not let that put you off because boy is this a great primer. It’s hydrating with just a hint of tackiness to keep the foundation from slipping right off. I have over 2 backups if you doubted my love for this product. The only downside is that it’s available only in Australia. Click here to see the review.

Is it really a surprise that this concealer made the cut? I mean I think everyone, their dog and their dog’s imaginary friend would have this concealer on their holy grail list. But here’s the shocker, I rarely use this underneath my eyes but instead I use it as a spot concealer and boy does it do a good job in that department. This is literally the kind of concealer that will allow you to get away with light or medium coverage foundation but still give you the flawless ‘full coverage’ look. The one universal issue is the packaging, firstly that it’s made out of glass which has led to some tragic endings for some people and the infuriating pump that dispenses way too much product. Luckily I’ve found a way to tackle the pump issue and you can click here to find out what it is. I’ve also reviewed it, clear here.

Finally a ‘pore blurer’ that isn’t lying straight to your face. On YouTube you may know this product as the L’Oréal Paris Miracle Blur. That’s the US version but they’re both the same product. I don’t know why Aussie minds thought to tweak the name slightly but moving along from that. It really does what it claims to do, praise the makeup gods. Now this isn’t what you’d apply all over your face. In conjunction with a completely separate primer you apply this to the particular areas where you have enlarged pores. This primer isn’t designed to keep your makeup in place; it is designed to blur pores. It’s reasonably price, does the trick and has definitely earned the Holy Grail status!

Keep in mind that I am lucky enough to have naturally long lashes *thank you universe!* but I am convinced that this mascara is magic. If I had to live off only one mascara for the rest of my life, this would definitely be it! I don’t throw that around lightly cause ya’ll know I love having my options. This lengthens yur lashes like crazy and gives them a lot of volume, it doesn’t leave you looking like a panda though I don’t have oily skin so I can’t truly make a statement on lasting powder. It also doesn’t weigh down your lashes which means it holds a curl nicely AND here’s the kicker, it’s wand is humungous which is pretty typical of Rimmel mascaras. The fact that the wand is skinny means you won’t get mascara on your lids or forehead. Wuhuuuu! Another thing to love about this mascara? It’s affordable so you don’t have to sell your house and soul to get it. *crowd cheers* If you want to check out my review on this, click here.

What do you know another L’Oréal Paris pore blurring primer that actually does the job. This brand is definitely true to its word. It’s a bit thicker in formula in comparison to the magic blur but both do the trick. Once again this isn’t designed to be applied all over the face nor does it help with increasing the longevity of your foundation. Both of the L’Oréal Paris pore blurrers are technically skincare products so you can use them even if you aren’t wearing makeup.

You are probably sick and tired of seeing this concealer everywhere you go but there is a pretty good reason as to why everyone and their cat praises this concealer. It’s that good! It covers up your dark circles, sits nicely underneath the eyes and has a cool fuzzy applicator which I am a fan of. I can’t say enough good things about this concealer except for the fact that I have over 3 backups, if that doesn’t paint an accurate picture as to how much I love it, I don’t know what does. Click here to see a review.

Last but definitely not least is a skincare product that legitimately saved my life over and over and over. This definitely puts all over spot treatments to shame! When I say it works that is the world’s largest understatement. This thing gets rid of spots like you wouldn’t believe. Even if you only have it on for a minimum of 6 hours, the pimple becomes so much more manageable and concealer easily covers it up. We’ve all had those spots that not even 10 layers of makeup can cover; this product has definitely made a difference. I don’t even bat an eyelash when I get a pimple; I just whip this baby out and let it do its thing. If any product deserves the Holy Grail status, it’s definitely this bad boy. And if you want to see the review on this here it is.

Well that wraps up this Olympic sized post! I could easily take a nap now after writing this up. What are some of your Holy Grail beauty products? Tell me about them in the comments below and I’ll see you guys in the next post.
