So you may be a bit tired of hearing about these blushes. These do fall as one of those talked about drugstore blushes that have been floating around the blogging world for years. So today I am finally reviewing them and you guys can see what all is the fuss about – sort of because this is just my experience.
So let’s jump in!
Pigmentation: They are the optimum level of pigmentation. I say this a lot when I talk about blushes but I do not like it when blushes are insanely pigmented. All that results in is a clown face and you have to be WAY too careful with application to avoid such catastrophe. Aint nobody got time to apply blush as though they are working through a land mine ready to pop. These make life quite easy in that department.
Formula: The formula is pretty great. A tad chalky but with a blush brush you don’t notice this.
Finish: The finish of the blushes varies throughout the shade range. Some are matte, some are shimmery.
Packaging: Standard packaging, not overly chunky in size so storage isn’t an issue. There is a clear window at the front of the product so you can clearly see the shade.
Wearability: It comes down to the specific shade, but their non-annoying pigmentation gives you total control when it comes to application so even bolder shades can be applied subtly.
Price: $9.95 AUD
Availability: Target primarily. You’ll also find online drugstore sites that ship to Australia that happen to carry the NYX brand.
Shades I own: Mocha, Dusy rose and terracotta
Shade range: NYX knows how to do a good shade range. They’re blushes and lip products always carry a crazy big shade range and there is no exception when it comes to this blush.
Pros: Enough pigmentation to make application nice and easy, affordable, packaging isn’t overly clunky, shade range is massive, both shimmery and matte finishes exist.
Cons: Those who like INSANE pigmentation may not be impressed with this blush, they are difficult to obtain in Australia only Target stocks them in store and not every shade they make.
Rating: 7.5 / 10
Overall thoughts: These are really nice blushes, perfect for the everyday and actually provide many options shade wise. There is nothing to lose with these gems, definitely perfect for those who are makeup newbies and looking for a blush to experiment with, these ones will definitely help you figure out what kind of blushes best suit you since there is something for everyone.
Would I repurchase it?: I see myself repurchasing them but I try out so many blushes and not to mention the fact it takes forever to actually hit pan on a blush.
And that’s a wrap for the post. As per usual if you’ve tried out this product tell me your thoughts in the comments below. And if you haven’t, tell me about any blush you happen to like. I’ll see you peeps in the next post.
