Hello there internet peeps! Well it’s review time and you guys know what a contouring connoisseur I am. So I thought I’d reduce the list of contouring products I have to review by one today.
Let’s rock and roll!
Does it work for fair skin? The shade Fair works very well on lighter skin tones as the name suggests and it includes a blush. The light/medium shade does not include a bronzer and doesn’t work at all on fair skin, I’ve begun using that as a trio eye shadow kit.
Is it blendable? It does blend well! The highlighters definitely require some blending as they appear odd on the cheekbones if they’ve been placed there without blending.
The highlighter: It’s a very intense highlighter, not something you’d want to wear on your cheekbones if it is a bright and sunny day. The sunlight will definitely expose A LOT of glitter which can lead to a pretty tacky makeup look. I do prefer to wear this on non-sunny days or at night. This highlighter is awesome for inner corner and brow bone highlight. The highlighter in the light/medium shade is much darker and more difficult to use as a cheekbone highlighter, I use this as an eyeshadow as well.
The blush: It’s a very pretty blush, glowy in finish. Once again be weary of wearing it on a very sunny day as the glitter is more noticeable. Also it’s pretty pigmented so tread lightly when applying it so you don’t end up looking like a clown. In the light/medium shade there is no blush, just a shimmery copper bronzer. I use this as an eyeshadow.
The contour shade: Literally my favorite, this shade alone is Holy Grail status for me, so gorgeous, natural yet noticeable. Perfect as a transition shade for both contour and eye shadow. Cannot say enough good things about the contour shade. In the light to medium shade, I use the dark contour shad as a crease color.
Longevity: It lasts a standard amount of time for a powder product.
Packaging: Basic packaging with a clear lid so you see what you get, it’s sleek as well which makes it travel friendly and easy to throw in your makeup bag.
Price: $7.41 AUD
Availability? The makeup revolution site, UK peeps can find this in store.
Shade range? This the fair shade and the light to medium shade.
Pros: Sleek packaging, affordable, you can use it for a range of things not just for the face but on the eyes as well.
Cons: Highlighter isn’t day time appropriate, the light to medium shade is far too dark for light skin, I personally use it as an eyeshadow trio kit.
Overall thoughts? This is a great contour product, I’m a personal fan of the shade fair and find it such a nifty multi-tasking product. It’s affordable, good quality and that contour shade is the shade of angels!
Would I repurchase it? I’ll definitely be purchasing the fair shade
