Hello hello wonderful humans! Aside from being a major makeup addict, I think the very existence of that blog makes it pretty obvious – I am also a hoarder of blushes. Whether it costs a few dollars or over $50 – blushes are usually awesome at any price range. So in the true spirit of drugstore makeup and me being an addict (I mean drugstore makeup has the word ‘drug’ in it so it pretty much warns you to the addictive nature of it) – I thought i’d knock a review of blush mountain.
So let’s rock and roll
Pigmentation: The perfect amount I reckon and by that I mean it won’t turn you into a clown but you want spend 10 minutes applying it till it finally shows up on your skin.
Formula: The blushes have a nice non-chalky formula, they apply smoothly and don’t cause much grief.
Finish: I pretty much consider them matte. If you look very closely when staring at the blush you may notice a couple of sparkles in the pan but they do not look glowy in the least bit when applied on the skin.
Packaging: Standard packaging, they’re small and sleek which makes them travel friendly and they have a clear lid so you can see the shade without opening the product up. Keep in mind that I purchased these a while back and since then the packaging has actually changed. They are now rectangular in shape. They are the same blushes and even same shade names, the packaging just looks different now.
Wearability: They have many wearable shades. I personally find the shade love and now to be super wearable and I reach for them a crazy amount.
Price: $2.12 AUD
Availability: They have them in stores in the UK but otherwise you can get them off their side.
Shades I own: I own the shades Now, Treat, wow and love.
Shade range: There are 6 shades in total.
Pros: Wearable, affordable, nicely pigmented
Cons: there are only 6 shades and if you are not in the UK then the only way to get them is online. Because of the limited shades, I don’t see a shade suited for darker skin tones.
Overall thoughts: I really do love these blushes. They are so affordable and have great quality considering just how affordable they are. I reach for them quite often and they go with almost any makeup look.
Would I repurchase it?: yes! The shades love and now especially.
That wraps up todays post. What crazy affordable blushes are you guys a fan of? Have you tried these particular blushes? Let me know in the comments below. I’ll see you lovely peeps in the next post.
