Hello there internet peeps! I’ve realized I don’t review enough skincare products on here. I mean there will always be a bigger ratio of makeup to skincare on the blog mainly because there are only so many products I can use on my face at once and that limits how much I can talk to you guys about skincare. But do not fear you will be seeing more skincare product reviews and skincare related posts on here.
I do have a skincare tab on my blog so to keep up to date with skincare related posts, click on said tab and you’ll see them all.
Babbles aside, how about we actually get to the review. Sound good?
Let’s jump right in!
Targeted skin type: I personally have dry/dehydrated skin and I find it works well for me but I do see this working well for oiler skin types as well.
Facts about the skincare product: This cleanser is Oil free, non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic, dermatologist tested, it also contains salicylic acid.
What is its purpose: A cleanser that warms up as you rub it into your skin, the heat helps to open up your pores and draw out impurities. It also helps to minimize and prevent blackheads.
Does it achieve this? I do notice my skin feels much more clean and looks more clearer, so it’s definitely doing something. I do also notice minimization in black heads but I wouldn’t say it completely eradicates them. Keep in mind everyone’s skin is unique, two people could have the same skin type and yet the skincare product may work differently. There is definitely a level of trial and error that comes with trying skincare products, so do keep that in mind.
Did it irritate my skin? It personally doesn’t irritate my skin but if you have overly sensitive skin keep in mind this cleanser heats up and that can cause irritation to those who have incredibly sensitive skin.
How many times a week do you use it? Being that this skincare product is a cleanser it can be used daily. I use it once day. Pro tip don’t rub it between your hands it will already start to heat up you want to apply it directly on your face and then rub it in so it heats up and begins to open your pores.
Morning or night?: I happen to use it in the morning for a nice fresh feeling to the skin and remove any impurities that may have lingered from the previous night especially makeup that may have remained. It’s totally up to you when to use it though.
Does your skin adapt to it over time and therefore become less effective?: I haven’t noticed the product becoming less effective with use but being that it’s an everyday cleanser it doesn’t particularly lead to magical effects on the skin.
Formula: It’s very thick in formula (kinda like toothpaste), with exfoliating beads only the thickness of the cleanser doesn’t make it to scratchy when you’re working it into your skin.
Pros: It leaves your skin feeling clean, heats up when you apply it which is a nice feeling, has a nice scent, and it exfoliates without being too harsh on the skin.
Cons: Once you rinse it off your skin does feel slightly dry but when you continue on with your skincare routine i.e. serum, moisturizer etc. that dry feeling does not linger. If you have overly sensitive skin or generally don’t like skincare products that heat up, you won’t like it.
Price: $7.49 AUD
Availability: Priceline, Target, Big W (since having purchased this the packaging has changed. I’m almost sure the formula is still the same 95% of the ingredients are the same except for like 3.
Overall thoughts: It’s a great everyday cleanser! I love that it warms up because I find it relaxing and like it’s actually doing something.
Would I repurchase it?: Yes I would, this is my second tube. Hopefully the formula is the same if not better. When I do run out of this tube and repurchase the ‘newer’ version I will update you guys as to whether it’s the same to the previous one.
That wraps up todays post guys. Have you tried this cleanser or any skincare products that warm up? What biore products have you tried? Let me know in the comments below. I hope you all have an awesome day and I’ll see you peeps in the next post.
