Hey there ma peeps! Foundation reviews in my opinion are one of the most important. There is a fine line between a good foundation and a bad foundation and no makeup look can be saved if you’re wearing an iffy foundation. Technically today what I’m talking about is BB cream but I usually throw that in the foundation category because it’s a base product that helps with the complexion so potato – PA TA TOE
Ramblings aside let’s get right in!
Coverage: Light coverage. I mean it’s a BB cream folks you literally can’t build expectations around good coverage with a BB cream
Skin types appropriate for this foundation: Normal to dry/dehydrated skin would love this BB cream. I don’t have oily skin so I can’t make any comments on how this product will work on oiler skin types. I will say that you’ll at least need to bring in some reinforcements such as a setting powder, primer and setting spray to make it last well. If you include all those products oiler skin types could pull this product off. I just wouldn’t say this BB cream was designed for oily skin.
Longevity: On people with normal to dry/dehydrated skin it lasts a decent amount of time
Application: It blends out pretty easy and applies smoothly. I usually apply it with a real techniques face expert brush.
Packaging: The packaging is a bit odd. It’s a squeezy tube with a pump lid so sometimes getting the product out is a bit tricky.
Formula: Creamy, blendable, lightweight, hydrating.
Finish:It has a demi matte / satin finish.
Who would love this foundation?: If you are a fan of natural coverage, hydrating and affordable bases then you’ll love this.
Who wouldn’t love this foundation?: If you are looking for medium to full coverage and a super long lasting product this may not be up your ally. Also if you are extremely pale the lightest shade may not fit your skin
Shade range: I believe there are four shades in total, pretty average for a drugstore BB cream as they don’t come in a lot of shades.
Overall thoughts: Overall this is a pretty good BB cream. It’s the only one I’ve tried that reasonably caters for fairer complexions. Most drugstore BB creams have a ridiculously dark shade as their ‘palest’ shade. It’s comfortable to wear, good for simple days where you won’t a minimal fuss makeup look. It gets two thumbs up from me!
Would I repurchase this?: yes I would.
That wraps up today’s post. Have you guys tried this BB cream? What drugstore BB creams have you been loving? Tell me in the comments. I hope you all have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.
