Hey there ma peeps! It has been quite a while since I did my first drugstore gems post. If you don’t know what that blog series is about in a nut shell, I select a couple of drugstore products I love and talk about them, being that I love oh so many drugstore makeup products I turned it into a series so I don’t yap your ears off. Click here to see the first edition of drugstore gems.
I need to stop myself from babbling and just get into the post.
Let’s get ready to rumble.
Chichi Real minerals powders
This is a pretty multipurpose powder. Every shade except translucent is technically a mineral foundation. I pretty much use it as a setting powder that gives a bit of extra coverage and I use it as to set my under eye concealer. The translucent shade is super-duper brightening so I only set my under eye concealer with it. These powders are awesome, finely milled, do a good job at setting cream products. I reach for it a lot.
Face of Australia Glamazon contour kit
One of the first contouring products I picked up. It is an aussies brand (sorry international peeps). It’s easy to work, awesome for those with fair skin who still want a noticeable and sculpted look. It’s affordable, comes with a mirror, a contour and a highlighter – what more could you ask for?
Maybelline falsies flared mascara
It’s pretty much a no brainer as to why this little gem is on the list. Its volumizing and dramatic and makes your lashes long and flare out. Now you kinda get the idea as to why the word ‘flared’ is in the name. You’ve probably heard heaps on this one, it’s one of the more popular Maybelline mascaras.
Real techniques face expert brush
This brand in general is a freaking legend! This foundation brush is the best everyday foundation brush I have in my collection. It works so well with light to medium coverage foundations, is the perfect size AND just blends out things so easily. If you are just beginning to get into foundation this is the brush for you.
Makeup revolution powder blush – love
I reach for this blush so regularly I sometimes have to put it away just to get myself to use other blushes. It goes with any makeup look, super pretty and wearable and blendable. Did I mention it is super affordable?
L.A Girl HD concealer
I’m the super fussiest person when it comes to concealers for covering up spots. Let’s just say this one passes with flying covers. Its super full coverage, comes in many many shades and blends out easily. It is so freaking affordable for how good it is. This one is definitively amazing and quite similar to the mac pro long wear concealer.
Physician’s formula cashmere-wear bronzer
This is my go to bronzer when I want a sun-kissed look. It’s also handy when my foundation is pale and I want to bronze my skin up to cover that little fact. It applies easily, isn’t too orange and is all up a great bronzer. I use this almost every time I wear makeup and then add the contouring over this.
That wraps up today’s post. Have you guys tried this bronzer? What bronzers do you use to achieve a sun kissed look? Tell me in the comments. I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.
