BYS Highlighter Kit

Hey there my favorite humans!
Y’all know how I like doing reviews for you guys and so here I am to talk to you about an affordable, nifty cream highlighting kit.

Sit back, grab a snack and let’s do this.

Does it work with many skin tones?: The three cream highlighters should work on the majority of skin tones. The shimmery brown powder I personally use as an eye shadow.

Is it overly glittery?: Sort of. It’s wearable but direct sunlight upon the face can expose glitter particles.

Is it too natural? Not necessarily. If you apply a little bit you can make it natural but it isn’t too over the top

Day or night appropriate?: To me it can be worn both day and night, it’s not over the top to the point where it looks tacky during the day light.

Where is it best for applying on the face?: I like to apply it on the tops of my cheekbones and then apply a powdered highlighter over the top to help it last longer. You can apply a little underneath your brows as well.

Price: I’m pretty sure it’s $9.95 AUD. It’s hard to find an exact price online  because this brand is primarily available in store with only some of their range available online.

Availability:Gloss, Fashion addict (I’m pretty sure it’s an aussie product soz)

Formula? I wouldn’t say the formula is super-duper hydrating and creamy. It’s slightly on the drier side but still applies and blends out easily with minimal fuss and doesn’t look cakey on the skin.

Highlighter on fleek? I wouldn’t say you get a highlight on fleek with this product. It does give you a noticeable highlight, almost a glossy look on your cheekbones but fleekness isn’t achieved with this alone. However, if you apply this on your cheekbones and then apply a little bit of a powder highlighter on top, you do get a pretty bitchin’ highlight.

Pros – Drugstore makeup lovers, those who love cream highlights

Cons –  If you don’t like cream highlighters then this won’t be for you

Rating: 6.5 / 10

Overall thoughts It’s a nice little highlight kit, affordable, wearable, I do use it quite frequently and because it’s so affordable so I definitely think it’s worth to check it out.

Would I repurchase? I do see myself repurchasing it as I don’t have any other cream highlighters.

That wraps up today’s post. What highlighting products do you guys like? Do you like cream highlighters? Tell me about it in the comments. I hope you guys have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.

For me, not having any cream highlighters won't make me repurchase a product. That just makes me feel like I am being forced. haha

I like the description of the highlighter. I don't always want a fleeky highlight, sometimes a subtle glow is all I'm looking for, so this sounds great x

I'm currently addicted to fleeky highlighter, I just can't get enough haha but I still use this and just layer another highlighter over it.

It's not a well know brand, it's like the Aussie version of E.L.F

I find it hard to work with cream highlighters, but love how they look! cute little kit, I hadn't heard from the brand before!

Some cream highlighters can be quite tricky.

Hmm, sounds like this will be a great palette for anyone who is new to makeup or highlighters in general. Can't beat the price.
