Well hello there wonderful humans
Its review time, I happen to be a makeup brush addict so that all adds up to today being a review of a makeup brush. Ramblings aside lets lock and load and jump right in!
Its use?: Ideally I use it to apply foundation but it could be used for other means, possibly bronzer and blush (cream blush especially). The idea of the brush is that it buffs out the product, ideal for blending.
Is it part of a set of can it be individually purchased?: Unfortunately it’s only available as a set in the real techniques core collection.
Does it do a good job?: Yes it does. I just use it for foundation but it blends it out very well. I’m always happy with my foundation when using this brush.
What I personally use it for?: To apply foundation
Shape?: It’s the same shape as a flat top kabuki brush only the brush hairs themselves are much longer and the brush is slightly denser than your average flat top kabuki.
Pros: Applys foundation really well, a great size for a foundation brush (not too large, not too small), the brush hairs are soft and synthetic so it works well with liquid/cream products.
Cons: Only available in the core collection set, gets product build up fairly quickly so it requires very frequent washing.
Price?: The brush set is $25.20 AUD off Iherb.com
Rating: 8.5 / 10
Do I have multiples?: Unfortunately no as its only available in a brush set but I’d love to have multiples since it’s that good.
Overall thoughts?: This brush is an excellent foundation brush, it’s great for beginners as it really helps apply the foundation and blend it well without much technique. It’s affordable and real techniques in general is a fantastic brand. This gets two thumbs up from me.
Would I repurchase it?: I wouldn’t object to repurchasing the set as it also has the contour brush which I’m a huge fan of. You can expect a review of that brush as well.
That wraps up the post ma peeps! Have you guys tried this brush or other real technique brushes? Tell me your thoughts in the comments below. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you in the next post.
