Things that go through my mind when I apply my makeup!

Well hello there you gorgeous humans. Okay so I’ve been seeing this post briefly float around and I knew it was definitely my thing. In fact everyone should do this because it’s the most relatable thing on earth.

The title is pretty self-explanatory so I am not going to explain it, imma just jump right in!
·         Let’s just slap some moisturizer on and hope it cures my dehydrated/dry skin
·         Arghhhh why do I have so much texture on my skin
·         Don’t forget to primer! Don’t forget to prime! Don’t forget to primer!
·         How long should I wait before I apply foundation?
·         Which of my 1000000 foundations should I use? *opens draw to an avalanche of foundations*
·         *avalanche on foundation continues*
·         What brush should I use?
·         I really need to wash my brushes
·         Applies foundation – please don’t look cakey!
·         Does this match my constantly changing skin tone? Nope! *blends down neck and prays people don’t notice*
·         Hello skin texture that looks 10 x obvious whenever I wear makeup!
·         Grabs concealer, why are my dark circles so bad all I do is sleep, blog and go to uni
·         Let me set my concealer even though the two big wrinkles under my eyes will make my concealer crease as well as my neighbours!
·         *forgets to go in with spot concealer*
·         *sets foundation with powder* oh crap I should have spot concealed and I wanted to cream contour today
·         *brushes out brows and quickly fills them in* I may not have much but at least my brows don’t give me a hard time
·         Grabs 1 out of the 10000 contour kits I own – why does only one side of my face contour nicely?
·         *applies blush* I really should get into cream blush – ah well!
·         *applies highlighter – maybe too much highlighter* yasss baby!
·         *grabs random eyeshadow palette*
·         *slaps on some neutrals*
·         *curls lashes and applies mascara* Dam it that one weird outer lash is poking my eyeball again!
·         What lipstick should I wear?
·         *grabs bold lipstick* let’s be daring!
·         *applies bold lipstick*
·         *10 minutes later* nahhhhhh *wipes off bold lipstick and wears neutral*
·         *Sprays face with setting spray* I hope this keeps my makeup on

That wraps up this post? What goes through your mind as you apply makeup? Drop a comment and tell me and let’s get chatting. I hope you all have an awesome day, I love you guys and I’ll see you in the next post!

I really do try to branch out into bold lips but I am so bloody lazy. Even with nude shades i'll reapply maybe once or twice throughout the day then give up.

This made me smile, I am exactly the same especially with primer, I forgot to wear it on the day I was testing a new foundation, I couldn't believe it!! I can never decide on lipstick either, I wear a lot of brights and when I decide on a nude I always wish I'd worn a bright ha ha xx

I remember when I first got into makeup I use to always forget primer. I've gotten much better but usually I do my makeup in the morning so I do my skincare routine and apply moisturizer and I end up forgetting I didn't apply primer because the lingering moisturizer makes me think my primer is on. Haha.

Tell me about it! Pimples I can handle but texture is a bitch! Will do. If the day shall come when I figure out it out there will be several posts dedicated to it, I can ensure you. x

tell me about it! I literally have days where I just wear makeup even if I am not leaving the house – to play with it and it always looks good. But when I am leaving the house it looks bad.

I perfected the cat flick the other day whilst wearing my pjs and then took off all my make up only to bump into an ex outside my local supermarket!

Completely relate to the dry skin/texture and the ‘I need to wash my makeup brushes’. I’m ashamed to admit it, but a month on, I still haven’t washed them! In all fairness, I don’t use them daily, probably just twice a week, but the point is that they’ve been sat soaking in products for a month…oh dear haha!

You’re not alone there It has been a while since I have done any makeup brush washing. To be fair I am about to move into a new bedroom I am waiting or that to happen first plus I hoard makeup brushes (and I have a lot of foundation brushes) so I can kinda get away with it until there are no clean ones left.
