Hey there my favorite people! Its review time and I’m talking to you about a pretty awesome one today. When I usually do reviews I wait a huge amount of time before I write up the official review. That way I can tell you everything about the product including how much I use it and what kind of stuff it’s good to use for. I feel awkward if I review a product too quickly because I feel like I can’t be detailed enough for you guys.
The reason I’m telling you this is because this particular product I haven’t had as long maybe almost 2 months is more depending on when this actual review gets posted up. But I do feel comfortable talking to you guys about this product because I feel like I know a lot about it, at least enough to give you guys some detail.
Okay tangent aside how about we get into the review now?!
Is it too orange or muddy? It’s definitely much more on the warmer shade but it’s not orangey or unwearable. If you actually look at it in the pan, it has a subtle red tone to it but it just comes off as a beautiful warm tone on the face. Unless you find warm tones to not suit you at all, this is a wearable bronzer. And it’s definitely not muddy!
Is it easy to blend?: I do find this easy to blend, the formula is soft enough. Powders can either be a complete pain in the ass to blend or super easy. This does lean more towards the easier side of things. Great if you are in a time pinch.
Natural or intense?: it is on the natural side but it’s still noticeable enough. If you use a super dense brush you can make it appear a bit more intense.
Does it work well on fair skinned?: I feel like it would, it does come in a few shades but I personally have the lightest shade they make which of course is called ‘light’. If you are very very fair skinned, this won’t be natural for you and could be potentially unwearable. I’d go in store and swatch to be sure.
Can you contour with it or is it just for bronzing up? I find that it does a wonderfully weird mix of both. It does make you look nice and sun kissed but also gives you that structured look to the face. Because it’s warm toned it sort of tricks the eye, giving you a bronzy look and sneaking in the slim appearance to the face. If that didn’t make complete sense, basically it bronzes up your complexion and it makes your face look structured BUT it’s as though you didn’t intentionally contour.
Lasting power? It lasts a pretty average amount of time on the face. Typically the amount of time a usual powder will last on your face. This isn’t taking into consideration primer, setting spray or the foundation you happen to be wearing.
Packaging: Pretty standard packaging, black casing and it has a mirror. It’s pretty standard in size and doesn’t feel cheap or fragile.
Finish: Matte as the name suggests.
Price: It’s $14.28 AUD off feel unique (if you buy it separately off the site or make an order less than $120 than it’s a $5 shipping fee). In target its $17.95 AUD
Pros: It’s matte, easy to blend, looks flattering on the skin, affordable, a good size and sturdy packaging. It makes you look sun kissed and it’s good for bronzing. It’s available in a couple of shades as well. This also makes a gorgeous eye shadow, particularly in the crease.
Cons: Not the easiest to get a hold of. Not available through many online retailers. The shades run on the warmer side and there isn’t a shade included that will be ideal for super fair skin.
Shade range: There 5 options for different shades in total.
Rating: 8.5 / 10
Overall thoughts: This is a great bronzer. It makes you appear sun kissed and is also great for contouring. It’s easy to work with and very flattering on the skin. It’s definitely worth checking out.
Would I repurchase it?: Yes I would!
