Makeup Revolution ‘I Heart Chocolate’ Naked Eye Shadow Palette

Hey there beauty lovers! Okay So I have been a bit slow on the blogging front because I moved into my new bedroom two days ago and I’ve been up to my elbows in organizing and what not. (Stay tuned for Instagram story to see the final product). And My sisters wedding was 4 days ago So I have been quite swamped lately and looking forward to just chilling, getting back into exercising and blogging of course. I do plan to do some Christmas – ish themed posts. By that talk about beauty products that would be good as gifts or something you could spend your Christmas money on etc. I just thought I’d give you peeps a bit of an update.

How about I get onto what this post is about?! Talk about a light bulb moment.

Let’s jump in!

Shade range: The shade range consists of neutral shades, a mix of shimmer and matte finishes. It consists of light to medium brown shades, I few golden shades vanilla shades.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is quite good, very easy to work with and doesn’t take too long to build up. Keep in mind my friend who is very tanned picked up this palette, found it wasn’t pigmented. So if you have a darker skin tone, keep in mind this palette runs on the natural neutral side of stuff.

Is there any fall out? Barely any fall out, so there’s no mess created when you use this palette.

Do they blend well?: The shades blend very well. So this palette is awesome for people who are beginning to get into eye shadow.

Finish of the shades: There are 6 matte shades and the rest are shimmery. The matte shades include Smoothly, Tob-le-rone, white, Milky, Sweet-shop and Choc-fest.

Availability: The makeup revolution site is the best place to get this palette. In the UK I believe you can access this brand in store.

Price: $16.92 AUD

Wearability: This palette is extremely wearable. You can create eyeshadow looks that range from simple and natural to more intense. The glam looks you can create are slightly limited because there aren’t any super dark shades. The shades Delight, white, choc-fest and suger are the shades that could help darken the eyeshadow look.

Packaging: Packaging looks super cute, a white chocolate bar packaging. A plastic sheet covers the shades and includes shade names. I personally leave the plastic sheet because I am a blogger so eyeshadow palettes with shade names are a blogger’s dream.

Pros: Wearable, blendable, has many beautiful neutral shades, versatile, cute packaging and affordable.

Cons: The range of dramatic looks you can create are limited. There are no navy blue, black shades nor any bright shades. Availability is limited to the makeup revolution site and the UK. The shades don’t show up well on tanned – darker skin tones.

Rating: 9.5 / 10

Overall thoughts: This is a great palette. Considering its price it has great shades, pigmentation and very pretty finishes. The shade range is very similar to the Lorac unzipped palette but the packaging resembles the too face chocolate bar palette.

Would I repurchase this? Yes I would. I love all the shades included in this palette.

Would I recommend this? Yes I would, it’s an absolutely beautiful palette.

That wraps up today’s post. Have you guys tried this palette? What drugstore palettes have you been loving? Tell me in the comments below. I hope you have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.

I like the packaging maybe more than the Chocolate Bar palette from TF, but I wasn’t impressed with those colors. They kinda seem very similar and with my last experiences from Makeup Revolution eyeshadows (they looked the same on lid), I would be scared to buy it. 🙁

Some people can feel that way about neutrals. I just can never get enough, even if they are similar because I use them all.

It is a very gorgeous palette! I am basically a 80 year old lady, I rarely glam up for night time events so I don’t get to enjoy the full potential of dramatic eye shadow looks aha. Thank you for the comment.

I don’t mind the palette doesn’t have any dramatic colours, this seems the perfect palette for me since I like every day type of shades and I don’t tan that well so the colour pay off should be fine. 🙂 the highlighting shades are for me a big plus as well! 🙂

    Have a great week!

Eek, this palette honestly looks good enough to eat, I love the packaging! Too Faced make some gorgeous palettes. 🙂 I do quite like the shade range in this, although like you said, it probably isn’t the best for dramatic looks. I do think these would be lovely for casual wear. though. I’m especially in love with these gorgeous shimmers! Thank you for sharing this lovely review and your honest thoughts, my darling. xoxo <3 🙂
