Hey there beauty lovers! Okay So I have been a bit slow on the blogging front because I moved into my new bedroom two days ago and I’ve been up to my elbows in organizing and what not. (Stay tuned for Instagram story to see the final product). And My sisters wedding was 4 days ago So I have been quite swamped lately and looking forward to just chilling, getting back into exercising and blogging of course. I do plan to do some Christmas – ish themed posts. By that talk about beauty products that would be good as gifts or something you could spend your Christmas money on etc. I just thought I’d give you peeps a bit of an update.
How about I get onto what this post is about?! Talk about a light bulb moment.
Let’s jump in!
Shade range: The shade range consists of neutral shades, a mix of shimmer and matte finishes. It consists of light to medium brown shades, I few golden shades vanilla shades.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is quite good, very easy to work with and doesn’t take too long to build up. Keep in mind my friend who is very tanned picked up this palette, found it wasn’t pigmented. So if you have a darker skin tone, keep in mind this palette runs on the natural neutral side of stuff.
Is there any fall out? Barely any fall out, so there’s no mess created when you use this palette.
Do they blend well?: The shades blend very well. So this palette is awesome for people who are beginning to get into eye shadow.
Finish of the shades: There are 6 matte shades and the rest are shimmery. The matte shades include Smoothly, Tob-le-rone, white, Milky, Sweet-shop and Choc-fest.
Availability: The makeup revolution site is the best place to get this palette. In the UK I believe you can access this brand in store.
Price: $16.92 AUD
Wearability: This palette is extremely wearable. You can create eyeshadow looks that range from simple and natural to more intense. The glam looks you can create are slightly limited because there aren’t any super dark shades. The shades Delight, white, choc-fest and suger are the shades that could help darken the eyeshadow look.
Packaging: Packaging looks super cute, a white chocolate bar packaging. A plastic sheet covers the shades and includes shade names. I personally leave the plastic sheet because I am a blogger so eyeshadow palettes with shade names are a blogger’s dream.
Pros: Wearable, blendable, has many beautiful neutral shades, versatile, cute packaging and affordable.
Cons: The range of dramatic looks you can create are limited. There are no navy blue, black shades nor any bright shades. Availability is limited to the makeup revolution site and the UK. The shades don’t show up well on tanned – darker skin tones.
Rating: 9.5 / 10
Overall thoughts: This is a great palette. Considering its price it has great shades, pigmentation and very pretty finishes. The shade range is very similar to the Lorac unzipped palette but the packaging resembles the too face chocolate bar palette.
Would I repurchase this? Yes I would. I love all the shades included in this palette.
Would I recommend this? Yes I would, it’s an absolutely beautiful palette.
