Simple Anti-Blemish Moisturizer

Hey there you lovely folks! Its review time and I thought I’d focus on skincare today. I know the skincare product reviews are on the slower side in comparison to makeup. But firstly I don’t buy skincare as much as makeup because there is only so many makeup products you can use at once and it’s not the best for your skin to try too many new products. PLUS I like to wait extra-long before I pump out a skincare review so I can see the results and then fill you guys in.

Let me stop myself right here before I ramble on about who knows what.

Let’s jump into the review!

Targeted skin type: It doesn’t actually say anywhere on the packaging or even in the way it’s promoted that it’s for a particular skin type. Most moisturizers are pretty generic as they all aim to moisturize. I will say that if you don’t like thicker moisturizers or waiting for it to sink in, this may not be you cup of tea. It is also marketed as a moisturizer to help reduce blemishes.

Facts about this skincare product: It claims to help clarify your skin and remove blemishes. It contains zinc and chamomile. It contains 1 natural antibacterial and 4 spot fighting ingredients. When I read the ingredients and it does contain things like citric acid and glycerol and glycerin. I did notice it to contain cetearyl alcohol so if you don’t like any alcohol in your skincare ingredients just thought I’d give you a heads up.

What is its purpose: Obviously it’s a moisturizer so it’s going to soften and hydrate your skin.

Does it achieve this? I haven’t noticed my skin necessarily become specifically because of this product. BUT it’s a dam good moisturizer because it doesn’t just give you a few hours of soft skin before wearing off. I feel like it keeps my skin super moisturized all day. It does have glycerol and glycerin, those ingredients typically glue moisture to your face.

Packaging: Squeezy tube, so it’s not a tub. Hygiene is maintained. Woohoo!

How much product are you given?: 75 ml

Did it irritate my skin?: I haven’t found any irritation because of this. I don’t have overly sensitive skin so it’s rare for a product to cause me irritation. And this brand leans more on the natural side but if you have sensitive skin, read the ingredient list to be safe.

How many times a week do you use it? This is my daily moisturizer so I use it every day.

Morning or night?: I do currently use it both morning and night. I am looking for a more night time moisturizer so once I’ve found one; this will remain my day time moisturizer.

Formula: It’s not thin by any means but it is creamy. I don’t know if it’s just me but it feels a little bit cold when you apply it. Probably because its winter over here and my room is always freezing. I wouldn’t say it’s a heavy moisturizer but it isn’t light weight either.

Pros: Super hydrating, leaves your skin soft and smooth and that feeling doesn’t go away either. I love using this moisturizer to prep my skin before a day of wearing makeup. It’s affordable and easy to use, in a squeezy tube so it’s hygienic.

Cons: You do have to wait a tiny bit before it sinks in, doesn’t do a huge impact in the skin clarifying department.

Price: $9.99 AUD

Availability: Priceline (It’s the only place I can 100% be sure stocks this brand) and it is only retailed in Australia, sorry about that.

Rating: 8/10

Overall thoughts: I love this moisturizer! It’s hydrating, affordable and it leaves my skin soft all day. I am always making sure I use this as my moisturizer before applying makeup because it preps my skin nicely for a day of wearing makeup.

Would I repurchase it?: Yes! I am up to my second tube.

And that wraps up the post. Have you guys tried this? What are your thoughts? What moisturizers have you been loving especially for the day time? Drop a comment below and let me know. I hope you all have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.

They have an anti-blemish skincare line, so you could makeup your whole skincare routine with products that will help clear up your complexion.

I just love how hydrating it is. It’s my favourite to use in the morning just before I do my makeup. Their micellar water is good too.

I have tried Simple products in the past and really like them so I might go back to using them as I feel like I often overload my skin with heavier products. I’m glad to hear this worked well for you and I’ll definitely look to pick it up soon 🙂 x

Oooh this sounds so good, I didn’t realise Simple did a moisturiser! Shame it’s only currently stocked in Australia, hope it comes to the UK soon! 🙂 x

I feel like it could possibly be in the UK as well. I know I saw fleur de force talking about their eye cream and she is a UK blogger. And yes they do a couple of moisturizers actually.

This is the moisturiser that I currently use. I quite like it as moisturises without making my oily skin oilier 🙂
