The Christmas Gift Set Edit | Put together your own makeup gift set

Hey there peeps! Well I am not a major Christmas fanatic, I mean I like it but I am not the Christmas sweater kind of person. Any who I know it can be very frustrating trying to come up with gifts and while makeup brands come out with little gift sets which are nice I thought I’d mix things up. Instead of picking up a gift set, why not put together one yourself? And the beauty of it, you can control how much it will cost. The products I have mentioned are stuff I have tried and love, feel free to substitute it with whatever you’d like. If there is a review up on what I have mentioned, the link will be next to it!

Concealer gift set

For the one who is obsessed with concealers. You could include the

·        L.A Girl HD concealer (review)

·        the Maybelline age rewind concealer

·        the mac pro long wear concealer (review)

·        Maybelline master precise concealer

·        Maybelline fit me concealer

·        The Maybelline better skin concealer (review)

Or you can include any concealers you’d like or any price range. Drugstore makeup in Australia is pricier but if you live in the US or UK the concealers may be cheaper. The one’s I’ve mentioned are just ones I have and like!

Nude lipsticks gift set

Now of course if the person you have in mind for the gift prefers another shade of lipstick or you want to mix it up, feel free but y’all know me I am a major nude lipstick junkie.

·        Rimmel lasting finish lipstick – asia

·        Sports girl pout about it lipstick – wonderland

·        Rimmel moisture renew lipstick – notting hill nude

·        Chichi viva la diva lipstick – beautiful stranger

·        Revlon super lustrous lip gloss – supernatural

·        Chichi viva la diva lipstick – O.M Nude

·        Australis color inject lipstick – folk

·        Sports girl pout about it – mud slide

·        Chichi viva la diva lipstick – nudalicious

Highlighter gift set

I mean imagine receiving a gift set with bad ass highlighters? That would be a pretty awesome Christmas present now wouldn’t it?! Remember I am including stuff I’ve tried and love, if you know the person to like a subtle highlighter, just substitute with what you’d like. You could include

·        TheBalm’s Mary loumanizer (or the palette which contains all 3 loumanizer highlighters)

·        A Becca highlighter (if you wanted, remember you don’t have to make it pricey for It to be an awesome gift)

·        Makeup revolution radiant highlighter – exhale

·        Sleek highlighter kit – solastice

·        Physician’s formula translucent pearl highlighter

·        Makeup revolution highlighter palette

Eye shadow palette gift set

The awesome thing about eye shadow palettes is that there are many affordable ones that are also great! This includes:

·        The chichi glamorous eye shadow palettes (review)

·        Makeup revolution 32 affirmation eye shadow palette

·        Freedom makeup pro 12 eye shadow palettes

·        Makeup revolution I heart chocolate naked palette! (review)

·        Makeup geek eye shadows!

Natural foundation gift set

Okay so this one is a tricky one. I struggle to select the right shade of foundation for myself so you can imagine what a pain in the butt it would be to get foundations for another person. If you happen to know that persons shade well and you know they love foundations, be it natural or full coverage AND you know their skin type – then this one should be an interesting one. Definitely unique!

Mascara gift set

Mascaras have quite a broad price range and you can find some pretty awesome that are incredible affordable! Some of those mascaras include –

Maybelline colossal volume mascara

Rimmel lash accelerator mascara (review)

Maybelline falsies flared mascara (review)

You could even throw in some essence mascaras since they have some good ones in their!

Full face gift set

Okay this gift set basically covers each step in the makeup process. Even if you stick to drugstore products, it may be the priciest gift set as you’ll be picking up many stuff. So this gift set would include:

·        Primer and/or setting spray

·        Foundation (or bb / cc cream)

·        Concealer

·        Setting powder

·        Blush, bronzer and highlighter (separately or in a trio kit)

·        Eye shadow palette

·        Mascara

·        Eye liner

·        lipstick

Contour gift set

This is lovely for those who love love love contouring! You could include:

·        the makeup revolution ‘all about bronze’ palette (review)

·        freedom makeup pro contour kit

·        BYS contour sticks

·        Makeup revolution ultra-sculpt and contour kit – faire (review)

And that wraps up the post! I’d love to know what you guys thought of this post? What sort of makeup related Christmas presents do you have in mind? Drop a comment below! I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you in the next post!

Thank you. I wanted to come up with something different, though I hate to admit it my family just gives me the cash to by myself makeup hahaha because they know I love shopping for makeup just as much as the makeup itself haha.

I actually did something similar to this for a friend last year, she is not that into makeup but said she wanted to experiment with it more so I put together a starter kit for her! I love the idea of doing a highlighter set or a nude lipstick set though and just focusing on one thing. Fab post 🙂 x

Thank you. Yes lipstick is a good one, the trickiest one is foundation, I am a foundation junkie but I struggle at finding myself a shade, can’t imagine having the skill to shade select for someone else ahahaha.

Thank you! I’m not into Christmas themed posts, and all that jazz because I am terrible at giving advice on gift giving hahaha. But this idea sort of popped into my head.

I love the idea of putting together your own makeup gift set! I remember I use to do this with drugstore makeup when I was a teenager with my friends, but it needs to be brought back!

It’s handy especially since you can control the price weather it’s all drugstore or a bit of both.
