Hey there ma peeps! It’s review time and y’all know the drill be now I pretty much try and tell you as much as possible about the product. I mean isn’t that the whole point of a review?
Before I somehow begin yapping on about something totally irrelevant I am going to jump right in.
Does it sit well over your foundation?: yes, no awkward texture, no clinging to dry patches or cakeyness.
Is it detectable on the skin?: very minimal detection, it doesn’t give you that awful powdery look.
Translucent?: yes but the powder is not white in colour, more beige in color
Does it keep your makeup in place?: it does a nice job, I don’t find that the foundation transfers much. This powder is also pretty great for setting under eye concealer
Flashback?: as the powder is not white in colour I’d have to say not but I have not tested this out as I rarely use flash when taking photos
Shade range?: just the one, translucent.
Packaging: pretty standard packaging, being a loose powder it’s not a compact sleek case.
Formula: finely milled, applies easily and with minimal cakeyness.
Pros: does not make the foundation cakey, does the job with little fuss and it’s affordable.
Cons: it’s loose powder so it’s going to be messy and not the kind of product you want to keep in your makeup bag
Price?: $11.95 AUD
Availability: Priceline, big w
Overall thoughts: This is a bog standard setting powder. It does the job, while not giving you a cakey appearance. It’s super affordable and you get enough product to last you a decade! I have no complaints with this product.
Would I repurchase this?: yup, though I have a strong feeling ill be close to 30 by the time I run out of it.
That wraps up the post peeps. What do you think about loose setting powders? Any you think I should try? Tell me about them in the comments below. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you in the next post.
