The Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara

Hey there my peeps!

So what’s on this weeks agenda you ask? Well mascara is one of those beauty items we all rely on whether we are going glam or very minimal. I know that even if I have 0 makeup on my face i like to have at least mascara on when I leave the house as it gives a little somethin’ somethin’ to the face! So today I am going to be yapping about Maybelline mascara and we all know Maybelline’s mascara game is STRONG.

Tangent aside I’m going to jump right in!

Formula: It’s somewhere in between thin but not watery and thick but no heavy.

Uni lash?: It doesn’t clump the eye lashes in a nasty way. Your lashes will look sort of messy but in away where they look much more thicker and longer.

Price: $19.95 AUD

What does it do?: As indicated by the name of this mascara, it makes them appear very voluminous. I also find that it does increase the length of your lashes slightly.

Availability: Priceline, target, woolworths, coles, big w and Kmart.

Panda eyes?: No. I don’t have oily skin so I use the regular formula and it works perfectly find but it does have a water proof formula for those of you who need it.

Does it hold a curl?: Yes. I find that it holds curled lashes very well throughout the day.

Difficult to remove?: Not for me because I use a cleansing oil to take off my entire face, if you guys use eye makeup remover it does come off it just takes a couple of cotton rounds.

Pros: gives you dramatic lashes, easy to apply, affordable, available in many stores and it comes in a water proof formula.

Who wouldn’t like it?: if you like neat, defined lashes this isn’t for you. Also if you are more focused on lash lengthening this mascara won’t be Holy Grail status in that department.

Rating: 9/10

Overall thoughts: I really love this mascara. My lashes are naturally long and full but I still find that there aren’t many mascaras I could say that I’d be happy with just them. It makes your lashes pop and look dramatic and I have no complaints with it.

Would I repurchase it?: Definitely! This is my second tube and I have a backup waiting.

That wraps up the post. Have you guys tried this mascara? What are you thoughts? What mascaras have you been loving lately? Tell me in the comments. I hope you all have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.

It sounds like a great mascara for volume but I really like separating mascaras that make my lashes look curly, girly and flirty. Not sure if this will work for me based on what you said but great review! Love how you covered everything, thanks for sharing xxx

I wouldn’t say this mascara is specifically great at separating the lashes but it doesn’t look like a uni lash either. Thanks for stopping by. x

I have to admit this mascara didn’t work on me, but I guess it just depends on each person. I’ve tried so many mascaras and probably MaxFactor Xperience is my favorite so far, but I haven’t found it since a year ago! Thank you so much for sharing, you encourage me to get this one again and give it a second shot 🙂

Everyone can have different experiences with beauty products. The review before this one shows that as my experience didn’t mirror what other people thought of the foundation. I’m lucky enough to have quite long and thick lashes so mascara isn’t a tricky thing for me -I’ve enjoyed most of the mascaras I’ve tried expect for a few.

Holy cow I’m always shocked at the markup of makeup prices in Australia! $20 is how much I would spend on a mid end mascara in the US. I’m a fan of neat defined lashes so this probably isn’t for me lol. Nevertheless I’m glad to hear you’re liking it 🙂

It’s pretty much the story of our lives haha it sucks because we don’t get to properly enjoy drugstore makeup. But where I buy most of my drugstore makeup they do have sales so I always wait for sales when it comes to drugstore makeup.

I’ve seen this around in loads of shops but always been too scared to try it because I’ve used this brand before and not been overly wowed by it. Maybe I should give them another go!

Skincare products can always be that way. It’s all about our individual skin and how it works with the product. This brand has been quite good with my skin that’s why it sucked when it disappeared from the shops.
