Puretopia Clay Mask

Hey there my blogging peeps!

You know I take my skincare stuff seriously and you know I like to make it rain reviews so today I put both of those together and made it a skincare review. Now unfortunately this brand in general has seemed to have disappeared – I do not know why or how but I still wanted to talk about it. I know some of you may roll yours eyes at a post that talks about a product you can no longer get BUT this could motivate you to try a clay mask or try out a face mask in general AND in the future if a face mask I try is similar to this one, I can link this post and that one and you can almost get a little comparison. So tada! There is a silver lining and let’s face it guys – at least I am not further aggravating your addiction to buying beauty products for today.

Let’s do this!

Targeted skin type: Normal to combination skin

Facts about this skincare product: 100% sulfate and paraben free. The product includes rosehip oil, shea and niacinamide. It’s 125 ml in size.

What is its purpose: The purpose of this face mask is to give the skin a deep cleansing.

Does it achieve this? My skin definitely feels cleaner and refreshed whenever I use this product

Did it irritate my skin? No it doesn’t, my skin isn’t particularly sensitive and add to the fact that it’s a natural brand the chance of irritation is definitely less. But if you have sensitive skin I’d definitely give the ingredients list a read.

How many times a week do you use it?: 1-2 a week

Morning or night?: it doesn’t matter when you use this. I use it during the day if I am having a no makeup day or at night after I’ve removed my makeup to give my skin an even better cleaning. This kind face mask is definitely a great end of the week sort of face mask.

Does your skin adapt to it over time and therefore become less effective?: I haven’t noticed it becoming less effective with time, it’s not particularly a potent face mask that gives you instant results. However, I haven’t noticed a lack of effectiveness at all.

Formula: Despite it being a clay mask it doesn’t feel dry or dry to the point of cracking and it’s quite thin and runny in texture making it easy to apply.

Pros: Affordable, from a natural brand, helps the skin feel nice and clean without stripping it down and leaving it feel painfully dry.

Cons: Isn’t super potent so you don’t notice instant results.

Price: $14.95 AUD

Availability: Priceline

Rating: 8/10

Overall thoughts: This is a great mask, it’s nice to whip out a product to do some extra work at cleansing your skin. I actually find this mask quite relaxing and just great when you want to put your skin through some TLC. It’s definitely worth checking out.
Would I repurchase it?:
Yes I would.

And that wraps up todays’ post. Have you guys tried this face mask? What drugstore face masks do you love? Tell me in the comments below. Do ya’ll mind if I talk about products even if they’ve been discontinued? I hope you guys have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.

I’ve heard such terrific things about those L’Oreal paris masks – especially their glow mask. As much as I like face masks to be in a tub as you can get every bit of product out, do you find it’s hard to keep sanitary?

Yeah, that’s why I always use a spatula so I don’t stick my fingers in it and transfer bacteria etc.

This is the first time I heard about this mask. With skincare products, you don’t really see the effects straight away, most of the time you have to use it constantly. It sounds like a good mask, shame that it is not available anymore, I hate it when it happens!

It is such a shame but regardless of whether it’s available anymore or not it deserved a post. These kind of reviews serve their own purpose -either like a sort of remembrance post or in the event it wasn’t a good product – it serves as a kind of this is why it got discontinued type of post. I like to share my experience with all beauty products I try pretty much. Thanks for stopping by the blog. x
