Mac Studio Finish Concealer

Well hello there you gorgeous bunch of humans! It’s time for me to tell you about another Mac concealer I’ve tried. This one being the studio finish concealer as you have probably gathered by the tittle! I’m going to cut the small talk short today and jump into this straight forward review!

Coverage: I’d say it has a medium close to full coverage level.

Longevity: It lasts quite well on the skin. Its formula doesn’t make it too slippery or liquidy in a well it can break up easily on the skin.

Formula: It’s not a liquid concealer but a cream concealer. That means it’s not fluid. It’s a cream product molded into the pan. It is creamy and blends out nicely but if you aren’t into cream concealers or even stick concealers (they have the same formula kinda) then this concealer won’t be for you.

Packaging: It’s a cream concealer molded into a little pot with a flip lid. It’s tiny, perfect for placing in your makeup bag without fear it will leak, burst or break.

Under the eyes or for spots?: I like using cream concealers for spots usually, I find they don’t always sit nicely on my skin. This has a lovely coverage level for covering up spots, blemishes and/or redness.

Pros: A very good coverage level, small packaging, creamy and blendable, lasts well on the skin.

Cons: It is slightly difficult maintaining the hygiene of the product, being it’s a cream concealer. It’s not a fluid concealer so it’s tricky to use under the eyes.

Price: $34 AUD

Shade range: There are 23 shades offered!

Availability: Mac site, Mac counter (Myer, David jones)

Overall thoughts: I do like this concealer. It’s a nice little spot concealer you can pop on to cover up what needs to be covered and it’s quick and easy to blend out. It’s great to have in your makeup bag if you are on the glow and need to do a 5 minute makeup look.

Rating: 7.5

Would I repurchase it?: Not really sure. While I do like this concealer, I have to be nuts about a product to repurchase it. Me being a makeup hoarder, I love trying new makeup so it needs to be on another level for a repurchase.

And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried out this concealer or any of the concealers from mac? What was your experience? Drop a comment and let’s get talking. I hope you all have a wonderful day, I love you guys and I’ll see you in the next post!

This concealer was one of my very first purchases and I miss it! I’ve tried a lot of them over time, and the only one that I’ve come to love as much as this was the Pro Longwear! If you like this one, definitely check out the Pro Longwear – it is easier to work with than the cream-format of this one!

This one is nice for spot concealing, the pro long wear concealer is definitely my favourite! I have three of the mac concealers and I love them all!

I’ve not tried a cream formula before when it comes to concealer, but if this is difficult to use under the eyes then it isn’t for me, as that’s the only place I put concealer! Great review xx

I’ve wanted to try this for a while actually, it looks and sounds pretty good but it’s a little pricey compared to my current one.

It’s great to know this product is good for concealing spots/blemishes, as I have a monthly pesky outbreak on my chin usually that lasts for a few (annoying!) days. Thanks for the great review 🙂

I’ve always stuck to liquid concealer but studio finish has a great reputation so I’d be tempted to look into this!

I am the same, all my other concealers are liquid, I just find this one so compact, easy to travel with and great for covering up spots especially when you are in a rush and don’t have much time to do your makeup

I really love this concealer, although I have it in the palette of six. It’s so handy for my makeup kit but I use it for myself sometimes too. Having multiple shades in one place means it’s perfect year-round!

I’ve never tried this, as I tend to just use liquid concealers. This one does sound like it would be good for covering break outs though. x

I used to wear this concealer all the time, every day for years and I loved it, but I did find that it dried out a little bit too quickly for my likely. Now my new fav to use is the Nars creamy radiant concealer 🙂

I personally like it as a touch up on the go spot concealer. It’s so itty bitty perfect for the makeup bag. I didn’t mind that NARS concealer I just didn’t like how quickly I went through it.
