Biore Charcoal Cleanser

Hey you lovely bunch of humans! I am just going to skip past the fact I haven’t been the most conistent blogger because I am officially out of excuses. I promise you it will get better, in 1 month and 6 days I will be finally free from uni! I felt like throwing a skincare review at you guys! Charcoal has been quite a trendy ingredient in skincare, whether its face masks or cleansers, so I wanted to talk about one I have been a fan of!

So let’s jump into the review shall we?!

Targeted skin type: It doesn’t have a listed skin type.

Facts about this skincare product: It is oil-free, contains charcoal which draws out impurities, dermatologist tested and it claims your pores will be 2x cleaner just after one use.

What is its purpose? Okay so the idea behind this, being a cleanser is that you use it daily and as it contains charcoal it draws out all the dirt and gunk from your pores, leaving it clean.

Packaging: Standard packaging, comes with a pump.

How much product do you get?: a whopping 200 ml. You can’t accuse biore of being stingy.

Does it achieve this? I do find that this cleanser really helped keep my skin clean and it did reduce the frequency of blemishes my skin would get.

Did it irritate my skin? I didn’t find this cleanser to irritate my skin, though my skin isn’t overly sensitive. If your skin is sensitive and/or not fond of charcoal read the ingredients list.

How many times a week do you use it? It’s a cleanser so you can use it daily!

Morning or night?: Either, it’s up to you. You could even use it both morning and night. I personally use this cleanser in the morning.

Does your skin adapt to it over time and therefore become less effective?: I haven’t noticed this, then again it’s just a daily cleanser it’s not a potent product that gives dramatic results.

Formula: It sort of feels like a gel cleanser, it does look like a semi opaque black cleanser. It doesn’t feel drying but this isn’t a cleanser with the goal of hydrating your skin. Cream cleansers are usually the best for hydration.

Pros: Leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh, doesn’t dry your skin out, you get A LOT of product and it’s affordable.

Cons: if you are looking for revolutionary effects this isn’t it, and if you are in the middle of a break out this cleanser doesn’t help to quickly clear up a break out, it’s better at preventing them.

Price: $10.99 AUD

Availability: Priceline & chemist warehouse primarily

Rating: 7.5 / 10

Overall thoughts: This is a nice cleanser. I never had any issues with it, it didn’t dry out or irritate my skin and it did leave my skin feeling refreshed. This gets two thumbs up from me!

Would I repurchase it? I typically bounce around when it comes to cleansers unless it’s revolutionary but I wouldn’t reject the idea of picking this up again.

And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried this cleanser or any other biore products? Do you like charcoal in your skincare? Drop a comment and let me know! I hope you all have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post! Love you guys!

I love charcoal skincare products! I haven’t tried this one. Honestly all I think of with Biore is the pore strips which are meant to be rough on your skin!

I know right, especially face masks, it really makes my skin feel clean. I actually quite like their cleansers, they are a pretty nifty brand.
