Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzers

When you hear a lot of people say wonderful things about a product you can’t help but think ‘Maybe it is that good that I need to pick it up’. Now while we all have different experiences with beauty products I always say the more people are talking about a product (raving about it) the higher the chances you too may actually love it. Of course I additionally do the research because what people may be loving about it may not necessarily correlate with what you love.

So today is one of those reviews about a very well known beauty product! So stay tuned to hear my thoughts on this wonderful little bronzer.

Is it too orange or muddy? Neither of the two shades are orangey or warm toned. They are on the cool to neutral side but they don’t look muddy either.

Is it easy to blend? Yes! Yes and more Yes! They apply so easily onto the skin, they are super buildable and go on sheer and you can build them up. They don’t just splotch pigment onto your face. The bronzer is super blendable!

Natural or intense? Definitely on the natural side! Though if you are absolutely stark white it may look slightly less subtle. Tan skin tones to deeper skin tones will find this bronzer far too natural.

Does it work well on fair skinned?: Yes the bronzer works wonderfully well on fair skin.

Can you contour with it or is it just for bronzing up? If you are on the lighter side skin tone wise – it will give you a slightly sculpted look. But this bronzer is definitely more wonderful for bronzing up! It also gives you a subtle but very pretty glow.

Lasting power? It lasts the standard amount of time for a powdered bronzer.

Availability: Priceline, Iherb (other shade)

Packaging: The packaging is quite pretty and the bronzer itself smells of a tropical scent like pineapple – it’s quite strong actually. The packaging is typical packaging for physician’s formula, it has a flip lid with the bronzer pan on the inside and it has a bottom compartment that has a brush it comes with it. The brush is pretty silly and I don’t use it. I recently depotted both bronzers to make more space in my makeup collection.

Finish: It’s not a matte bronzer, it gives a subtle sheen to the skin but it looks very natural and pretty. It just gives a very nice healthy glow but it isn’t glittery or tacky in any way.

Price: $29.95 AUD in Priceline, $18.47 AUD off Iherb

Pros: Super blendable and easy to apply, looks gorgeous on the skin, gives a subtle and pretty sheen to the skin

Cons: If you have tanned to a deep skin tone the bronzer (either shade) may not show up well on your skin.

Shade range: There are two shades available a slightly warmer shade and a slightly cooler shade. There isn’t a huge difference between the two shades of the bronzer.

Rating: 9/10

Overall thoughts: This is by far my favourite bronzer! I’m not into the strictly bronzing without any contouring but ever since I picked this bronzer – both of the shades. I’ve really become obsessed with just applying bronzer with minimal to no contouring. I love how it looks on the skin and the glow it gives!

Would I repurchase it?: Hell yes! I’m a massive fan of this bronzer.

And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried out this bronzer? What are your thoughts? What bronzers have you been loving? Drop a comment, I’d love to hear from you guys. As always I hope you all have an awesome day, I love you guys and I’ll see you in the next post. x

You really do! I just wish they made more darker shades. Now that we are in summer, here in Australia I am going to gradually get tanned and the bronzer doesn’t work on tanned skin well.

Sounds amazing!! It’s so hard to choose the right one and not look orange on skin, I always have a hard time picking bronzers since now I am paler but in summer I get easily tanned and my skin changes 2-3 tones darker. Happy Sunday lovely xx

It is available on a couple of different sites, perhaps they do ship to India as many of the sites such as Iherb do ship internationally. x

I’ve seen them around here in Belgium as well, but Physicians Formula is so expensive over here, compared to the UK prices! Also, I don’t know if I could get over the pineapple smell of these, it’s not my favourite scent 😀

I buy my physician’s formula goodies from Iherb which ships internationally. Makeup in Australia is also quite overpriced.

[…] Physician’s formula have a magical secret when it comes to bronzers! These butter bronzers have extra magic! They are sheer – but buildable and look so natural and flattering on the skin. The bronzer also blends like a dream and is seriously my favourite bronzer of all time. I just wish they had a few darker shades for when I tan during summer. They are definitely not designed for darker skin tones – but pale girls – you guys need to get these! |Review| […]
