Becca x Chrissy Tiegan Palette

Hey there beautiful humans!

So we all have those moments where we just want to treat ourselves right? Often with makeup I base my makeup decisions on practicality and I like to take my time before purchasing it. But sometimes you gotta TREAT YO SELF! So that’s where this palette comes in! So after playing with this palette for many many months it’s time to review it for ya peeps!

Let’s jump in!

What does the palette contain? The palette contains two highlighters. One of the highlighters being more of a rose gold toned called you guessed it ‘Rose gold’. The second highlighter has a peachy hue to it and is called ‘Beach nectar’. They are your classic Becca highlighter formula – which means they are incredible and glowy (I’m talkin poppin glow). There is also one blush in this palette which is a slightly fuchsia/hot pink shade, called ‘Hibiscus Bloom’ and a bronzer which is a medium chocolate bronzer called ‘Malibu Soleil’.

What are the finish of the shades? The bronzer is matte. If you look in the pan you do spot a sparkle here and there but it doesn’t show up when you apply it. The highlighters are of course glowy and that same level of intensity you would expect from the Becca powder highlighters. The blush is on the glowy side (slightly a frosted finish) but it’s not crazy glowy on the skin – it gives just a subtle sheen to the skin.

Packaging? The Packaging is gorgeous as you can see. The outer casing of the palette is like a tie dye pink toned pattern, with the writing written in like a rose gold. The inside of the palette is rose gold. The palette also comes with a gorgeous mirror.

Is the palette versatile for day/night? I find it versatile for both day and night – it depends how intense you like your highlight during the day – I always wear Becca highlighters during the day as well as during the night.

Are the shades wearable for many skin tones? This palette definitely favours more tanned/darker skin tones. I wouldn’t say it’s unwearable for fair skin. I have fair skin (not super pale but still quite fair skin) and I’m able to use this palette. I do find the highlighter ‘Beach nectar’ comes with more colour in its pigment rather than just a beam of light so I wear it over the cheeks but the highlighter rose gold I can apply it on the cheekbones. So some of you may find beach nectar to be worn on the cheek if it’s too dark for you. The bronzer is a good middle ground shade. If you are extremely fair skinned the bronzer may be a bit to light for bronzing but in that case you could either contour with it or wear it as an eye shadow. It’s still versatile even if you have fair skin I wouldn’t call it unusable even if you are extremely pale. The blush is quite pigmented and as you can see it’s a bold shade. So the fairer in skin you are the more you have to tread carefully when applying it – to avoid it appearing to be too much.

Price: $46 US (roughly $60.54 AUD), $78 AUD on Sephora

Availability?: Cult Beauty, Sephora, Ulta beauty, Beautylish

Pros: You get two gorgeous highlighters, a blush and bronzer all in the one palette. The highlighters come in a pretty generous size. You get to try out numerous products from Becca in the one palette – it saves you money in compared to buying their bronzers, highlighters and blushes individually. The packaging is gorgeous!

Cons: It’s a little bit trickier to use when you have fair skin. The bronzer and blush are smaller in size so you might have to change up the brush you use – if the brush is too large.

Rating: 8.5/10

Overall thoughts: I personally love this palette! I have no regrets when it comes to this palette – I use it with ease, the products are gorgeous and this palette his truly sparked my addiction to Becca face palettes! I even got the Jaclyn hill face palette after this one before it sold out. And I definitely will be picking up their winter face palette

Do I recommend it?: It’s definitely a lovely treat yourself palette and if you’ve been wanting to try a couple of Becca products – their palettes are good for that. This palette would also make a great Christmas gift / stocking filler! So I do recommend it!

And that wraps the post. Have you guys tried this palette or any of the Becca face palette? Drop a comment and let’s have a chat. I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.
