Essence ‘I heart stage’ Eye shadow Base

Hello there my favorite people!

It’s that time again for a review and today I thought I’d mix things up! I’m not an eyeshadow primer junkie. My eyeshadow base collection is very small and its one category of makeup I don’t really hoard. But never the less I still use eyeshadow bases as I find my eyeshadow goes on much better and doesn’t fade.

So that’s what I’ll be reviewing for you today. Let’s jump in!

Does it keep your eye makeup from creasing? I find that it does keep the eyeshadow from creasing. It gives you a smooth canvas on the eyelid and the eyeshadow look works better on the eyelid.

Is it smoothing, hydrating? Yes! It hydrates and smoothes out the lid without it making it slippery. The eyeshadow sits better over the eyeshadow primer.

Formula: It’s more of a thicker formula but it blends out really easy doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the lids and shadows sit well over it.

Applicator?: It has a wand applicator making it easy to apply the primer.

Price: $5. 20 AUD

Availability: Priceline and Target

How much product are you given: You get 4 mL of product

Pros: It provides a smooth canvas on the eyelid, it’s affordable, easy to use and just keeps your eyeshadow looking fresh with minimal creasing and fading.

Cons: Longevity wise I wouldn’t call it bulletproof.

Rating: 8 /10

Overall thoughts: I enjoy this eyeshadow primer. It does a good a job and it’s at a really really fair price point as well. I don’t have any complaints about this eyeshadow base.

Would I repurchase it?: Yes!

And this wraps up the review. Have you guys tried this eyeshadow base? What were your thoughts? What eyeshadow primers have you been loving? Drop a comment and let’s get talking. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you in the next post.

Essence has so many hidden gems but this I recommend. I’m an eyeshadow junkie but when it comes to eyeshadow primer I don’t feel the need to buy so many so I’ve just been sticking to this and I’m happy

I don’t use them all the time either but this one is so good, affordable and just a handy one. I definitely haven’t felt the need to try other eye shadow primers.

I definitely need to get myself a couple of backups! It’s so lovely, though I am a makeup junkie when it comes to eyeshadow primers I never feel the need to purchase everyone I see. I’m super content with just this one.

Glad I could help lovely! It’s a bargain too so it’s a win win really because eye shadow primers shouldn’t be overly pricey – gives us a chance to save up for the goods like highlighters and eye shadow palettes

I’m the same way! Eyeshadow priming just isn’t really a priority for me – I tend to rely on samples for the most part! Currently going through a bareminerals one, which works perfectly fine, but I’m excited to get through and start using my UD samples of the different versions of primer potion!

That sounds awesome, I’ve heard particularly good things about that Urban decay eye shadow primer.
