Beauty Products Worth Every Scent

When you purchase makeup at a frightening rate you start to refine your makeup taste more and more. Don’t get me wrong there is still far too many makeup items I want but in order to avoid regrettable makeup choices, you do have to tread lightly. I am an avid drugstore makeup lover but I do enjoy dabbling in high end when a product just steals my heart. So today I wanted to talk to you guys about those fancy purchases that are truly worth every dime!

If this tickles your fancy, keep reading.

Huda Desert Dusk Eyeshadow palette

Is it a shock that this palette made the list? The shade range is what I compare all shade ranges too. It was the very first high-end eyeshadow palette I have purchased and since then the floodgates have definitely opened! I am a sucker for warm tones shades and this palette is filled with them, gorgeous ones at that. The shades are pigmented and blendable and I mean look at those shades. I can’t name one fault in this palette.

Tarte in bloom eyeshadow palette

This was actually the first high-end eyeshadow palette to actually appeal to me. I purchased it during the holiday collection as part of a set with toasted and their matte palette. The formula of tarte shadows is absolute heaven. Bonus points go for its stunning packaging that photographs just so well. If you can’t tell by my Instagram feed – I love to include this in flat lays!

Becca shimmering perfector highlighters

If you want your cheekbones to be noticeable from space, these highlighters have got you covered! I reach for these highlighters a ridiculous amount. Let’s face it I wear like three highlighters on a day to day basis. I start off with a natural one I apply all over the cheekbone and cheek, I go to the next one which is glowier and apply that more carefully on my cheekbone. Then I like to top it off with the glowyest highlighter of all – carefully on the high points of my cheekbones. (I know overkill but I love it) and these Becca ones always go on top! |Review|

Mac pro long wear concealer

This bad boy is awesome for two reasons. One, because the product itself is awesome. It’s full coverage, thin in consistency and blendable and lasts very well! Two. It takes you forever to run out of this concealer so you actually get lots of bang for your buck which is always nice. |Review|

Urban decay All nighter setting spray

At one point this was the only setting spray I liked, now I have discovered many more both drugstore and high end that I love but this guy still has a special place in my heart. It just keeps your makeup on all day! Like it really does boost longevity and it’s just nice to have in your beauty arsenal. Everyone needs a good setting spray that they know will keep everything in place. |Review|

Jaclyn hill x Morphe eyeshadow palette

Of course this eyeshadow palette got included! The shade range is awesome (allowing you to create all sorts of eye looks). The formula of the shadows are awesome – pigmented, blendable and just yum! I’m actually considering buying myself a backup of this palette – it’s that good.

Tarte Toasted eyeshadow palette

Yes I also included the toasted tarte palette! I love all three of them but I thought I’d narrow it down to the top two. These shades are warm tones and with that classic (and might I add MAGICAL) tarte eyeshadow formula. Basically, when I hear of a warm toned eyeshadow palette I come running!

Zoeva caramel melange eyeshadow palette

Last eyeshadow palette I promise. Back in the day Zoeva palettes never appealed to me. I also assumed they were overpriced. Then I saw their price and figured hey I should try some since they are raved about. OH EM GEE, the formula of these shadows is ridiculous. They take pigmented to a whole new meaning and their shimmer shades apply to my lid with a brush very well! I usually have to go in with my finger whether it’s a drugstore or fancy palette. So the fact Zoeva lets me apply my lid shade with a brush says something! I’ll definitely be picking up more of their palettes.

Too face born this way foundation

Last but definitely not least is this magical too faced born this way foundation! It goes onto the skin like a dream. It’s easily full coverage yet it truly looks like you aren’t even wearing foundation. My current shade is a bit too warm for me but I definitely need to get a second shade – that’s how much I love this foundation!

And that wraps up this post! Spot any favourites in the products mentioned today? What products do you find are worth every scent? Drop a comment and let me know! I hope you guys have an awesome day, I love you and I’ll catch up with you in the next post.
