Trialing Hair care – Roots & Rituals

Hey there my favourite humans!

Today I am talking to you about some haircare goodies I was lucky enough to get to try. I know haircare doesn’t get enough face time on here (mostly because I am lazy AF in that department). Why not mix things up today with two haircare products by roots and rituals.

So if you’d like to hear my thoughts on these two products, keep on reading!

Let’s go!

The hair mask

I found the consistency of this hair mask to be thick with a sort of whipped texture but it didn’t feel heavy. You are just able to lather it onto your hair (a good thing as I have very thick hair). It has a very floral (plant-like scent to it) which I like. I’d leave it in my hair about 10 minutes before rinsing it out. You are mean to use this in place of conditioner, I use it additionally sometimes as well. It left my hair feeling soft and nourished and left behind that floral scent. I didn’t have any issues with this hair mask. In the past when I’ve tried hair masks that weren’t my cup of tea I felt like my hair felt very tangly and just weird rather than nourished. This hair mask does leave your hair feeling nourished. Now I have never colored my hair – I don’t know if this packs enough punch for those of you who do colour your hair (or any blondes out there who have very dry hair) – but for those of us who haven’t colored our hair – hydration/nourishment levels is very nice!

The price point – approximately $25.81 AUD

How much product do you get? – 250 ml

The hair oil

What does this product claim to do? – provide deep nourishment to the scalp and hair, penetrates the hair shaft, reduces hair loss, promotes hair growth, targets premature hair greying

Does it live up to these claims? – From trying it my hair does feel nourished, soft and hydrated. I don’t particularly have any greys or suffer from hair loss to notice those two particular features of that hair oil.

My thoughts – This oil isn’t for the faint of heart. By that I mean a tiny bit goes a long way and you want to really really really be careful you don’t use too much. It has that same floral scent as the hair mask. I love to apply this to the ends of my hairs as I do with all oils and I apply the TINIEST amount. You really don’t need a lot and I distribute that tiny amount across all the ends of my hair. It doesn’t sink in super quick but I didn’t find it weighed my hair down (keep in mine I have thick hair), if you have thin hair it may be a too heavy for you.

The price point – approximately $29.25 AUD

How much product do you get – 100 ml

And this wraps up the post! Have you guys tried out anything from this brand? What haircare products have you been loving lately? Drop a comment, I love hearing from you guys. I hope you have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post!

I have many hair products but I only use a couple and always use oils, I love how oils nourish my hair and make them shiny and healthy.
