Nyx #NoFilter finishing powder

Hello there you gorgeous humans. So I am sure by now you are quite familiar with how I do reviews. I could go on and on a tangent about an entirely different topic but how about I keep it short and sweet today? Sound good?!

Today I felt like reviewing a little Nyx for Y’all and this powder is quite an interesting one. So let’s jump in!

Does it sit well over your foundation? Yes it does, it’s extremely finely milled and it doesn’t give a powdery look to the skin whatsoever.

Is it drying? No. it is a baked product so it doesn’t have that buttery to it non-baked powders have but it isn’t chalky or overly powdery

Does it keep your makeup in place?: If you a looking for a powder to truly set your foundation and keep it in place (like a typical setting powder) than this powder isn’t so great for that. I think if you are looking for a powder to lightly set your foundation but give your skin a healthy glow – this powder would be great for you. This isn’t for those whose skin type requires the foundation to be seriously set.

Flashback? This powder does give you a subtle glow to the skin, extra subtle but it’s perfect if you want to set your foundation without looking powdery or flat.

Shade range? 6 shades are available at Priceline and 9 shades available at feel unique.

Packaging: It’s a standard pressed powder packaging. It has a clear lid so you can see the powder on the inside.

Formula: The formula is quite smooth and finely milled. It is a baked product so it doesn’t have that buttery feel to the powder but it doesn’t look cakey, chalky or dry on the skin.

Pros: Gives a subtle glow to the face, doesn’t make the skin look cakey or powdery, has a nice shade range, isn’t heavy on the skin

Cons: If you need a heavy duty setting powder to keep your makeup in place than this powder isn’t strong in that category. Its more suited for those who either can go without a powder or only like to wear a thin amount.

Price?: $22.95 AUD at Priceline, $19.25 AUD at feel unique

Availability: Priceline, Feel unique, Target

Rating: 8.5/10

Overall thoughts?: I quite like this powder. Some days I just feel like I tiny layer of powder and I don’t want my skin to look powdery in any way. This powder is perfect for that as it sets the foundation while still giving you a very natural healthy glow. I’m a massive fan of this powder.

Would I repurchase this? I do see myself picking this up again though it’s definitely going to take ages to hit pan on this powder.

And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried this powder or any Nyx product? Drop a comment down below, I love hearing from you guys. As always I hope you have a wonderful day and I’ll see you all very soon!

This is one of NYX best sellers where I work, so many love this. I personally haven’t tried it but I am not the biggest fan of powders in general.

I like the whole glowy-but still powdered makeup vibe, but i am not sure i will purchase this just because i usually only use a powder when i need to keep my base looking matte and perfect all day. Loved your review though 🙂 x

I know right, it’s such a cool concept. I personally feel naked if I don’t set my foundation even though the majority of my skin is dehydrated with just an oily t-zone but I still manage to not have a matte base.

This powder sounds lovely but I don’t think I would purchase it as I prefer a super mattifying one. My oily skin would probably not go well with this one!

Yes this powder isn’t for those who want a matte finish or need major oil control.

In my powder I am usually looking for a mattifying effect, so I don´t think this would work too well for me.

Yes this isn’t for matte lovers but I will say it doesn’t give you an intense glow, its super duper subtle but Nyx has so many other powders for all skin types.
