The Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eye shadow Palette

You know when you say you won’t fall for the hype and get a hyped up product? Yes, I had those same thoughts about this very palette. Fast forward a bit later, when I found out it was being stocked on beauty bay – I crumbled like a piece of paper.
We all know the morphe site has not so budget friendly shipping fees so when beauty bay stocked it, let’s just say I couldn’t resist! I usually like to introduce a product at the beginning of a review but this bad boy needs no introductions!

To cut things short I am going to dive right into today’s review guys! Let’s go!

Shade selection: The shade range in this palette is super versatile. Overall I call it a wearable palette, it isn’t filled with just crazy color. While it contains some more fun shades like purple and turquoise as well as dark browns. It also contains more wearable shades that would make many lovely simple eye looks as well. There is something here for everyone whether you love warm tones or cool tones.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation of morphe palettes is always good. But it’s even better in this palette. The shimmery shades especially are heaven and glide onto the lid and show up super well. The matte shades are also very pigmented and awesome, even the transition shades have very nice pigment while still allowing you to use them to blend out other shades.

Row 5

Is there any fallout? No there is not! I experience no fallout whatsoever with this palette.

Do they blend well?: Yes, they do! The formula is super buttery and blends like a dream!

Finish of the shades: There are 17 matte shades, two satin shades, and 16 shimmery shades. There are 35 shades in total.

Availability: You can purchase this palette from the morphe site or Beauty bay. It is technically limited edition so it won’t be around forever.

Price: $72.60 AUD

Wearability: This palette is definitely wearable! It has neutral wearable shades, darker shades, colourful shades … it has everything! You can virtually create any look using this palette. It’s perfect for day wear and night time wear.

Packaging: The outer casing of the palette comes in a white cardboard. The shades names aren’t presented anywhere on the palette.

Pros: The shade range is fantastic, the shades are pigmented and blendable, you get an awesome balance between matte and shimmery shades. There are many transition shades included.

Cons: For a morphe palette, the price is very high, it’s not easily available and it’s constantly sold out. It’s not a permanent palette so it will discontinue soon enough.

Rating: 9/10

Would I repurchase this? This is the first palette I’m considering to repurchase because it’s limited edition! Who knows I might just grab another one, why not.

Would I recommend this? I definitely recommend this palette to you guys! Even if you aren’t into eyeshadow that much, this palette is perfect for you because it has everything you need in the one spot.

Overall thoughts: This palette is seriously awesome. It’s gorgeous, pretty, the shades are stunning and work so well. I don’t have any complaints about this palette – except that I wish it was made permanent. I highly recommend this palette guys, I can’t get enough.

And that wraps up the review! Have you guys checked out this palette? Are you going to grab one before its discontinued? Drop a comment and let’s chat about it. I hope you guys all have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.

I know right! It’s such a unique palette in my collection. My kind of shades with a few extras thrown in to keep it from being boring.

This palette is highly recommended but EVERYONE and I love the shades in it too. I’m not a fan of the larger than life size though.

Yes the large size with the morphe 35 palettes is quite ridiculous. On the other hands, you get lots and lots of options as well.

Ooh, I had a feeling the shimmery shades would be all the more impressive. This palette looks incredible; so many colours to choose from, wow!! Pool Party and Jada are such gorgeous aqua shades; I’ve not really experimented with such bright colours before 🙂 Lovely review, hope you have a fabulous weekend ahead!!

On the eye both the shimmery & matte shades work fabulous. Matte shades never swatch great in comparison to shimmery shade as they don’t contain much oils. Yes I love wearing bright pops of colour on the lower lashline – it’s the only way I can pull off colour in my eye look. Same to you lovely! x

It looks great, the colors are very shimmery and quite strong looking. I watched several YouTubers commenting on this palette and I think they might be a little harsh on poor Jaclyn. I think this one looks really great.

Yes the many negative reviews were hating on her. I’m not a jaclyn groupie but this palette is very nice, the packaging stinks as its cardboard which gets it looking dirty so quickly but the shadows themselves are amazing.

Are you sure it’s supposed to be limited edition? It’s been around for ages now, I’m sure they will keep it around for at least another year… Especially with the new palettes coming out soon, they are supposed to be an “extension” of that palette.

The shades look amazing though, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it! Now sure if I would ever reach for a giant palette like this… Doesn’t seem that practical to me 😉

I am not sure if they’ve made it part of their normal collection now. Originally when it launched they slapped the “limited edition” label on it but if its so popular I’m thinking why wouldn’t they make it permanent like champagne pop. I’ve noticed with many brands limited edition still means it will be around easily for a year +

The shades are definitely gorgeous, I actually don’t mind the size of the palette though its not a size I want many of my palettes to have.

I’ve always wondered if Morphe was worth the hype! Thanks for such a detailed review, you always give the best info on products which is super helpful.

Morphe does have some amazing products. I always say no brand is perfect and everyone brand will have dud like products. But Morphe have been launching some drool-worthy palettes that are actually more gorgeous than their original 35 shadow palettes. I’m so keen to do an order but I’ve been distracted by some other orders I’ve been making. Thank you so much, that means a lot to me! I try and give the most detailed reviews as possible!

This palette looks amazing, I can’t believe I have resisted it for so long. I’m excited for Jaclyn’s new vault palettes too. I will keep checking Beautybay to see if I can get my hands on it! xx

Yes beauty bay is definitely the place to get Morphe products to avoid those pesky shipping fees, The only palette from her new collection that appeal to be is “ring the alarm” which surprise surprise is her warm tone palette.
