E.L.F Illuminating palette

Hey there beautiful humans!

You guys know I love highlighters! So here I am today, bringing to you another highlighter review. This time an affordable kit that won’t break the bank and is seriously wonderful! So if you guys want to know my thoughts on the E.L.F illuminating palette then keep reading!

Let’s get our glow on!

Is it glittery or tacky? No. They provide a beam of light to the skin without looking glittery or sparkly in an unflattering way.

Formula: The powders are finely milled and smooth. They aren’t chalky and when applied to the skin they don’t have a heavy powdery look. They last well on the skin, the standard amount of time a powdered product lasts on the skin – a setting spray does help.

Pigmentation: These highlighters are quite pigmented. Of course when you swatch them with your finger verse apply them with a brush they don’t look as intense but overall they do provide a very noticeable glow – it just doesn’t have that blinding artificial glow (which I am addicted too).

Does the glowyness of the blushes show up in photos? Yes! They aren’t a poppin highlight but you do notice a glow from these blushes in selfies. I love to wear the highlighters from this kit, with a more intense highlight over the top on the high points of the cheeckbones.

Are they good for night time wear? You can easily wear the highlighters in this kit during the day. While they are glowy they aren’t so intense that some may find them to be too much at night. If anything, I wouldn’t find these glowy enough for night time wear.

Availability: beautylish, Kmart, Iherb, Elf site US, Australian ELF site,

Price: $16 AUD, $8.05 AUD (on Iherb)

Pros: The highlight shades are very glowy and wearable, the shades are very versatile to wear (even if you have fair skin), The palette is affordable and readily available. The packaging lets you plop out the highlighters and you can mix and match with the other ELF palettes.

Cons: On their own they won’t give you a blinding highlighter but I still find it very very glowy.

Rating: 8/10

Overall thoughts: This highlighter palette is gorgeous. All the highlight shades are super wearable and versatile and perfect for an everyday highlight and if you want to amp things up which I do – I add a little bit of a more intense highlight over the top.

Would I repurchase? I do see myself repurchasing this highlighter kit!

And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried out this highlighter kit? What highlighters have you been loving? Do you like them subtle or intense? Drop a comment and let’s have a chat! I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.

I definitely like my highlight blinding but this palette is pretty for no makeup makeup looks and to wear underneath more intense highlighter

I’m glad this palette worked for you. I actually reviewed this a couple years ago and hated it! Found it very chalky and had zero glow – figured I got a defect or something because I had heard good things about it. Will probably be tossing it soon.

I much prefer a subtle highlight, so it sounds like a palette I´d enjoy, but I don’t see me going through my other highlighters any time soon. I just rarely reach for them.

I like the colour shade , looks like what I will be reaching for since its not that glittery or sparky , and for the price it’s quite affordable.

I’m an all-out highlight kind of gal too, I find myself using this underneath a more intense highlight to give a more blended look.

Exactly, it’s good to have a few subtle glowy options in the makeup collection to either wear alone or underneath something more intense.

Well, looks like a promising product to try. I think the benefits and its feature is just fine. Although it may not be best for night goers to use it.

Oh definitely not but this kit is handy for no makeup makeup looks, if you are into subtle highlighters or as something you can wear underneath a more intense highlighter
