Skindinavia ‘Finishing’ Spray

Well hello, there you awesome people! Ever since I began using setting sprays I’ve been baffled at how I use to do my makeup without them. I clearly must have been walking around with one powdery AF face. So today I want to talk to you beauties about a pretty awesome setting spray that I’ve been fortunate enough to play with. You guys know I’m all about the fine and even mist life and this one is that times 1000.

Have I peaked your interested? Good! Let’s dive right into this review!

Does it actually help your makeup stay on all day?: Yes, it does! In terms of its longevity powers, it’s right up there with the urban decay all nighter setting spray.

Does it give you a dewy finish?: I wouldn’t say it changes up the finish of your skin. It doesn’t give you a matte or dewy finish, whatever glow you have will be coming from your foundation or primer.

Skin type?: All skin types, the finishing spray comes in a bridal version and an oil control version so if you get shiny or need crazy longevity (perhaps from your skin type – there are over versions of this setting spray).

How much product do you get? The full size comes in 118 ml and the travel size comes in 20 ml

Should it be applied before or after you apply foundation?: This particular setting spray is designed to be sprayed over your foundation. I like to apply this when I have my base on so (primer, foundation, concealer & setting powder) and then I spray my face again after I’ve applied my entire face on here.

Does it cause streaks in your foundation?: No, it doesn’t! The mist is so fine it doesn’t interfere with your foundation whatsoever!

Does it cause breakouts in your skin?: I haven’t noticed it mess with my skin in anyway, I don’t have overly sensitive skin so that could be a factor but it’s also very gentle on the skin. AND it’s also designed to be applied on top of your foundation so it doesn’t make direct contact with your skin.

Packaging?: A plastic bottle with a spray applicator!

Is it an overly “wet” spray and does it drench the face? No. I have come across setting sprays that can drench the face but simultaneously not ruin your foundation but this one doesn’t make the skin feel wet or drenched. Its spray intensity is so fine you hardly feel it on your skin when it does make contact.

Pros: A super fine, even mist, doesn’t mess with the foundation or cause streaking. It keeps the makeup looking fresh all day and settles down that powdery look to the face.

Cons: I have absolutely no complaints about this foundation!

Price?: $39.95 AUD The travel size is $14 AUD

Availability?: Beauty bay, Skindinavia AU site, Adore beauty, skincare store, BeautyLish

Rating: 9/10

Overall thoughts?: This foundation is fantastic! It has a super fine mist (like super-duper fine!) and it keeps the makeup looking fresh all day long so hooray for that! I have absolutely no complaints about this setting spray, it’s one of my favourites and I highly recommend it for you guys.

Would I repurchase it?: I’ll definitely be repurchasing this setting spray for sure. It’s a must have for the collection and price wise it’s totally fair!

And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried this setting spray by skindinavia? Are you into setting sprays? Drop a comment and let me know some of your favourites! I hope you have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post!

Same as you, I don’t understand how I could ever live without setting sprays! I used to always think that I wouldn’t need them but honestly they are a game-changer. This one sounds lovely, my favourite one is Urban Decay’s All Nighter and I will forever swear by it. Really makes a difference. Thanks for sharing this lovely review, beaut. xoxo

Did you know the Skindinavia setting spray and the Urban Decay ones are the same? I think UD must have bought Skindinavia’s formula because it says on the back of the UD bottle that the product is made by Skindinavia, so it doesn’t surprise me that it works really well since the UD All Nighter is my favourite.

I had no idea! I love the urban decay one and I always thought they had similarities as they are the only two setting sprays in my collection truly keep my makeup on all day.
