Neutrogena ‘Hydroboost’ Gel-Cream

Hey there my favorite humans!

Well, it’s time for a review and I am throwing a mega good one at you! It seems like anything that has hyaluronic acid in it seems to love my skin. So when Neutrogena came out with a hydro boost range my eyes definitely caught interest! I am still yet to get the rest of the range but it’s definitely on the list! So today I am going to talk about the water gel cream.

So let’s dive into the review!

Targeted skin type: Dry/ dehydrated skin

Facts about this skincare product: it contains Hyaluronic acid made to keep the skin hydrated throughout the day.  Hyaluronic acid has a knack for locking in all the moisture in your skin, by absorbing hydration and slowly releasing it to your skin throughout the day. It is dermatologist tested, oil-free and Non-comedogenic.

What is its purpose?: A lightweight but super hydrating moisturizer that continues to keep your skin hydrated. It’s like a moisturizer but with superpowers – it keeps your skin hydrated a lot longer while still being lightweight.

Packaging: It’s a tub-like packaging. When you open it, it has this plastic covering you take on and off – I find it a little annoying to take on and off it isn’t easy to yank off especially because my hands are often slippery from the serum I just applied to my face.

How much product do you get?: You get 50 grams of product

Does it achieve this? Yes, it does. My skin is left feeling so hydrated and soft AND it’s so lightweight and it sinks in the skin quickly.

Did it irritate my skin? Not it doesn’t. I don’t have overly sensitive skin so if you do read the ingredients.

How many times a week do you use it? I use this every morning. It’s great for if you are planning to wear makeup because it’s super hydrating and sinks in quickly. Great for underneath makeup!

Formula: Light, super hydrating, sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave a residue. It does feel like a gel and its lightweight and has a bit of a cooling effect on the skin.

Pros: It’s super hydrating and the skin feels hydrated all day, it sinks in quickly, it’s relatively affordable, the packaging lets you get all the product out so it’s not wasted.

Cons: I don’t have any bad thing to say about this gem! I would have liked it to be in a squeezy tube, just to keep the product hygienic as possible.

Price: $24.99 AUD

Availability: Priceline, Chemist warehouse

Rating: 9/10

Overall thoughts: I seriously love this gel cream! It just goes to show products are magical when they have hyaluronic acid! I just love how it can keep my skin feeling hydrated even though it’s so light and airy on the skin! I highly recommend this one guys!

Would I repurchase it? YES and I will be stocking up on the rest of the range as well!

And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried this hydro boost gel cream? Are you guys a fan of hyaluronic acid? Drop a comment and let’s have a chat! I hope you all have a great day, I’ll catch with you awesome people in the next post.

I’ve used the body gel-lotion and body cream in this range and love them both but haven’t tried this. It sounds like it might suit my skin in summer but possibly wouldn’t be rich enough in winter for my Sahara-like skin! xx

Sounds like a great hydrator! I love lightweight moisturizers for my oily skin so I’d love to try this one out. My current favourite gel moisturizer is the Garnier moisture bomb gel – love it!

I’ve heard great things about this range! I prefer these kind of gel moisturisers for dry skin because they actually absorb a lot better than the thicker moisturisers x

Exactly! They do a fantastic job at hydrating & plumping the skin and they also happen to be lightweight! Of course unlike other moisturizers – they only function to hydrate the skin and don’t have ingredients like vitamin C or other dramatic ingredients but nevertheless, I’m obsessed!
