Well good morning you beautiful humans! One of my favourite parts of my skincare routine definitely has to be exfoliation via an acid toner. I definitely prefer acid toners rather than a gritty scrub (though I still use one 1-2 times a week). Finding ones that are gentle enough to be used daily can be tricky. So today’s review I’m talking about an acid toner in the form of pre-soaked cotton pads (which are the same thing as an actual liquidy acid toner) only more convenient as you just grab a cotton round and go!
So if you are interested to hear my thoughts on this product, keep reading!

Facts about this skincare product
Contains glycolic acid (2.8%) which aims to retexture and resurface the skin. It also contains witch hazel to tone the skin. Hyaluronic acid is also included to hydrate the skin and blue daisy to smooth and brighten the skin.
What is its purpose?
This skincare product is designed to be a daily acid treatment that exfoliates the skin to give you smoother skin and a brighter complexion.
Does it achieve this?
My skin definitely feels smoother, fresher and cleaner when I use this product. I find that it helps lessen the frequency of any breakouts/blemishes and it does help with my texture (though not to a dramatic extent) as it’s a gentle acid toner. I also find it helps with evening out my skin tone, my complexion looks fresher and more awake.
Packaging:
The packaging is a round plastic tub that contains the 60 cotton rounds and it’s a semi-transparent tub.
How much product do you get?
You get 60 cleansing pads
Did it irritate my skin?
When I use it, I notice a very subtle tingle but nothing unusual. It’s designed to tingle your skin as it is an acid after all. If you have sensitive skin, tread lightly (if you are fine with glycolic acid, then you should be fine with this product).
How many times a week do you use it?
It’s gentle enough to be used every day – though if you have sensitive skin maybe you won’t enjoy using it daily.
Morning or night?
This is designed to be an acid toner to use for the day time, if you don’t like strong acid toners you could use this at night as well. They do sell a separate version that’s designed for your PM routine.
Does your skin adapt to it over time and therefore become less effective?
Though it’s an acid toner, it’s not one of high potency which you are only meant to use a few times a week. Therefore, its effect isn’t dramatic it’s more suitable for maintaining the smoothness of the skin and maintaining a brighter complexion. So in a nut shell I don’t notice it lose its effectiveness or function with continual use. As I write this I’m only almost out of my first tub, I wouldn’t know if this continues to be the case if I use it for many many months.
What are the cotton pads like?
They are very thin, small/medium in size. One side is slightly textured though you don’t feel any texture when you are rubbing the cotton round on your face.
Pros
Each cotton pad is nicely soaked with product, it’s a gently daily acid to include in the routine, its travel friendly and convenient to use.
Cons
You only get 60, so the maximum one tab will last you is 2 months (ish), the cotton pads are so thin thy stick together so it can be a bit annoying to peel them apart.

Overall thoughts
These are a great daily product for including glycolic acid, it does the trick but it isn’t so intense or irritating to the skin. It’s also a travel friendly skincare products as the pads are pre-soaked with the glycolic acid so you don’t need to bring your own cotton rounds. I’m enjoying using these, I wouldn’t slap the holygrail label on this product but I’m enjoying them quite a lot.
Would I repurchase it?
I already have purchased 2 additional tubs when they were on sale!
And that wraps up this review! Have you tried the Nip+Fab daily glycolic acid pads? Are you a fan of glycolic acid in your skincare products? Drop a comment and let me know. I hope you guys have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.

February 11, 2019 at 4:20 amThis is definitely convenient because the cotton rounds are already saturated and if you haven’t used acids before, these will be a great introduction to your skin.

February 11, 2019 at 10:42 amI love these products from Nip + Fab, I had the dragons blood one and loved how convenient the pre soaked cotton pads are. Totally agree that they can stick together and be a little annoying though xx

February 11, 2019 at 9:02 pmThey really are, no faffing around with poring an chemical exfoliant on a cotton round and creating a mess.
