Nyx ‘Gotcha Covered’ Concealer

Hey there you gorgeous bunch of humans! It’s time for a review and this base junkie has a nifty little concealer to chat about. I use to be all about that spot concealer life but since going H.A.M with my foundation obsession and discovering so many full coverage ones, I feel like mostly I can get away without spot concealing. Of course when I am craving a light coverage base and my skin has decided to grace me with a few pimples – I need some extra coverage on those areas. So I wanted to chat to you about this little gem from Nyx that I’ve been using for said reason.

So let’s jump into the review!

Coverage: Full coverage! It definitely covers up everything so it’s perfect for those pesky blemishes!

Longevity: It lasts pretty good because its formula isn’t on the hydrating slippery slide, so once it has set it doesn’t move around or break apart even when applied over blemishes.

Shade range: 10 shades

Formula: This concealer has an incredible THICK consistency, almost mousse like. It can be slightly tricky to even squeeze it out of the tube. It does blend into the skin nicely though and not cake up or look thick/chunky on the skin – it blends out quite nicely.

Packaging: A squeezy tube with a fine nozzle applicator

Under the eyes or for spots?: Considering the thick formula of this concealer I would 100% use it as a spot concealer. I cannot imagine it actually working under the eyes and not cake up BUT I actually haven’t tried it under the eyes but I’m not gutsy enough.

Pros: Full coverage, super affordable, comes in a good amount of shades, easy to blend out

Cons: A little on the thick side in terms of consistency (that might put some people off) and it’s definitely not made for under eye concealer.

Price: $6 AUD

Availability: Priceline,

Rating: 7.5/10

Overall thoughts: This is a good concealer, I don’t own a lot of spot concealers because I use more under eye concealers but this works so well to cover up spots and it’s at a bargain price point – so I have no complaints.

Would I repurchase it?: Most likely

And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried this Nyx concealer or any Nyx products? Drop a comment and let’s chat about it! I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.

I rarely use completely full coverage concealers so this would be a skip for me! xx

I don’t use spot concealers much (too faced and tarte are my options for full coverage under the eyes) but sometimes they do come in handy for the face.

Wow – that thick consistency sounds like it would be tricky for me. I’ve used their high definition concealers and they have a thicker than most consistency as well (but blended well) but this one sounds intense!

Yes it’s not idea but if anyone has picked up this concealer, the only way it could work is as a spot concealer and applied with a beauty blender. x

I dislike this as it was way too thick for me. Never used it for spot concealing though.

It definitely isn’t made for under the eyes.
