Is it just me or has E.L.F been on fire recently? Like in the last year or two their new stuff is so good! On that note I am going to talk to you guys about the E.L.F bronzer palette and share with you guys my thoughts on it.
Shall we jump right in?
Are the shades wearable in this palette? Yes they are! The pigmentation definitely packs a punch but the shades are quite versatile – not too dark and not fair that it could possibly not show up on your skin.
Are the shades too orange or muddy? Nope. The shades of the bronzers aren’t too warm or cool – they sit happily in the middle with the SLIGHTEST nudge towards warm but the shades look so beautiful on the skin! They are bronzers after all so a sunkissed look is the goal but for a bronzer they aren’t orange.
Is it easy to blend? These powders are quite easy to blend. They don’t just splotch pigment onto the face they are quite buildable.
Natural or intense? The Paler you are the more noticeable they will look, the tanner you are the more natural it will appear.
Can this palette work on a variety of skin tones? Yes. Of course if you have tanned skin – at a certain point the shades may be too light but it’s definitely user friendly for those for those with fair skin.
Can you contour with it or is it just for bronzing up? It’s mostly for bronzing but I do find when I want a subtle contour – this palette does serve me well. I haven’t been doing full on contours for quite a while so I’ve just been doing everything with this palette! If you have a very fair skin tone this will probably be an incredible palette for contouring
Lasting power? They don’t come with incredible lasting power – I’d stay the standard amount of time. Boosters like setting sprays, primers and a long lasting foundation do play into keeping the bronzer looking fresh.
Packaging: The Palette has a sleek matte black outer casing. It comes with a mirror on the inside and has the 4 bronzers inside that you can plop out – not the pan itself. You can remove the bronzers in their black outer packaging. You could place them in a domed Z palette or replace them with 1 highlighter, bronzer, blush for example as all the ElF palettes are designed like this so you can mix and match!
Finish: two of the shades are matte and two do have technically shimmer in them though when you apply them with a brush they don’t really show up shimmery on the skin.
Price: $16 AUD on the ELF Australia Site, $8 AUD on Iherb
Pros: The shades are wearable and blendable. The palette is very affordable, the shades work on a range of skin tones, and the finish is very lovely on the skin. This palette is available in so many different places. AND you can plop out the bronzers, place them in a different palette like the domed z palette or mix and much blushes, highlighters and the bronzers from the ELF Palette range.
Cons: I don’t have any complaints with this palette! If you have super tanned skin, this palette may be too subtle for you and it doesn’t come with long lasting capabilities all on its own but that doesn’t both me.
Overall thoughts: I am a massive fan of this palette. The shades are so wonderful and I find myself constantly reaching for this palette. And I have many bronzers and contours so when I reach for something consistently – you know it’s good! I definitely recommend this bronzer palette and I highly recommend you guys check it out!
And that wraps this review! Have you guys checked out this this bronzer palette or any of the ELF Palettes? Drop a comment and tell me your thoughts on them, I love hearing from you guys. I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see with you guys in the next post.
