Wet n wild matte setting spray

Wet n Wild ‘Matte’ Setting

Good morning beautiful humans! It’s time for a review and rather than talking your ear off all day, I’m going to jump straight into this review and keep things short today. I can already feel my second iced coffee of the day wearing off and I need to get this post DONE.

So let’s go!

What does this setting spray claim to do? It claims to extend makeup wear by preventing cracking, smudging, fading or creasing. Also claims to reduce shine, and be ultra-hydrating

Does it deliver? I do notice it keeping my makeup on fresher for longer and foundation tends to transfer less. It also doesn’t add any greasiness to the skin which some setting sprays can do. It settles down the powdery look to the skin and gives the skin some hydration (not very much though).

Targeted skin type?: All skin types, it won’t dry your skin out but it also won’t give you lots of hydration and bullet proof wear time.

Finish: Matte

Should it be applied before or after you apply foundation?: I like to apply this after primer, foundation, concealer and setting powder just to set everything down.

Does it cause streaks in your foundation? / Is it an even spritz? No. The mist is even, fine and your face gets a nice coat without your foundation being ruined.

Does it cause breakouts in your skin?: I haven’t noticed this but if you have sensitive skin prone to breakouts – read the ingredients list.

Packaging?: Small bottle with a spray applicator.

How much product do you get? 45 ml

Pros: Settles down the powdery look, keeps your makeup fresher for longer, super affordable & available on many different sites. It also has an even and fine mist – your foundation isn’t disturbed.

Cons: For Aussies – it’s only available online. It also only has 45 ml of product – if this becomes a daily staple in your routine, you’ll be repurchasing it very frequently.

Price?: $10 AUD

Availability?: Wet n wild site, Ulta, crush cosmetics, glam raider, discount beauty boutique, cosmetic capital

Rating: 7/10

Overall thoughts?: This is a very nice setting spray! It has a fine and even mist, keeps your foundation looking fresh and reduces that powdery look to the complexion without making your skin look greasy. I’m enjoying it even though it’s not anything special. I’ll be happy using this up.

Would I repurchase it?: No. I have other favorites and I don’t want to own too many setting sprays (I know shocking right!)

And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried this setting spray from wet n wild beauty or any of their makeup? Drop a comment and tell me your thoughts or just say Hi. I hope you all have the best day and I’ll see you in the next post.
