Drugstore Gems #7

The Drugstore Gems Edit #7

Hey, there beautiful humans. So it’s that time again – where I yap and yap about drugstore makeup! I have been running this blog series for quite a while now (though it’s been quite a while since my last one you wouldn’t know – my bad!)

By now I am sure you guys know the drill so I am going to jump right in!

Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzers

Physician’s formula have a magical secret when it comes to bronzers! These butter bronzers have extra magic! They are sheer – but buildable and look so natural and flattering on the skin. The bronzer also blends like a dream and is seriously my favourite bronzer of all time. I just wish they had a few darker shades for when I tan during summer. They are definitely not designed for darker skin tones – but pale girls – you guys need to get these! |Review|

Colour pop pressed powder highlighters

I can’t cope with how much I’ve been loving colour pop. I swear ever since they came out with a powder formula – I haven’t been able to stop. Don’t get me wrong I love their cream formula but with their powders, you don’t have to worry about them drying up before you are done using them. So when they came out with powered highlighters – it didn’t take me long to get them! They are super glowy and gorgeous – and give you that beaming highlight. There are also many shades – I am a massive fan. I reach for them quite often! And you can buy them either in a compact or in a pan that you can pop into a palette. So it’s really a win-win!

Models Own Powder highlighter

This is a new one. But from the moment I first used it, it skyrocketed to my holy grail list. It’s such an affordable highlighter, yet it gives you a glossy, beaming sheen (almost like that wet look) on the cheekbones. I love these highlighters so much I’ll be getting myself back-ups! |Review|

Essence tinted brow gel

I love tinted brow gels. I have quite a few now! So when essence dropped an affordable one I, of course, got it. This one keeps my brows in place, adds a little somethin’ somethin’ to them. I am lucky to have quite low maintenance brows. So this is perfect for them!

Rimmel lash accelerator mascara

Holy grail alert! I do have pretty easy to deal with eyelashes *THANK JESUS* but I still love a dramatic mascara. Though my lashes may be naturally long and full, this mascara takes them to a whole other level. Rimmel mascaras aren’t usually my favourite, but this mascara I’d take with me in a ‘stranded on an island’ type of situation. I mean if you’re stranded on an island, you might as well have amazing lashes. |Review|

Real techniques blush brush

Last but not least is, of course, a real techniques makeup brush. This blush brush is ON ANOTHER LEVEL. Like I do not understand how people wear blush if they do not own this. Before I picked this up I rarely wore blush because I always looked like a clown. This bad boy evenly distributes the product and blends it out at the same time. To quote season 1, Chandler Bing, it’s PERFECTION. I’ve also discovered to be a wonderful bronzing brush, so I gotta pick up a duplicate now.

And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried any of the makeup on the list? What drugstore makeup have you been loving? Drop a comment and let’s have a chat! I hope you all have a great day, and I’ll see you in the next post.

I never have any luck with Rimmel mascaras but my lashes are beyond pathetic so mascaras are incredibly iffy for me.

I love Real Techniques makeup brushes and sponges, they are fantastic quality, at such an affordable price as well. They are my favourite. I wish Physician’s Formula was available in the UK, as I’d love to try out their products. I hope someone stocks them soon.

I’m a massive fan of the Real Techniques brushes! I use the blush brush for bronzer as I love how the tapered end kind of hugs the cheek bones and forehead area!

They were the first brush brand I got into and I’m so in love! Yes the blush brush is literally what got me into blush, before that I use to avoid it because I couldn’t apply it without looking like a clown and this brush changed that!

It’s so lovely though I wish the wand was better for my giant brows, those tiny wands always require double/triple dipping. x

Have you tried Amazon perhaps? They are such a lovely brand, their bronzers are out of this world and their blushes are good too!

Out of their pressed powder face products, their highlighters were my favourite (I didn’t like their blushes or bronzers). But their pressed powder eye shadows are OUT OF THIS WORLD!
