Good morning (or whatever time of day it is for you!). It’s time for another empties post and you guys know the deal – I basically ramble on about products I’ve used up and tell you what I think plus whether I’d repurchase them or not.
So let’s get started!
This brand has seriously impressed me! Everything that I’ve tried including the primer I love and this serum is included. It feels like a hybrid between a light-weight facial oil and a hydrating serum. I don’t use facial oils much (only in winter) so this is that perfect combination. It’s nourishing, hydrating, light-weight, quick sinking and of course, it’s packed with lovely ingredients.
Would I repurchase?: It’s only sold on the raw cosmetics website. If I happen to be making an order from that site then I’ll happily add this serum to the cart.
Ironically, a massive selling point of the setting spray is that it comes in an array of different scents. I don’t like that it’s scented! I selected the Green tea scent (which I usually love the scent of) – with this product it smelt like perfume. The scent was too overwhelming and unnecessary. Other than that, it boosted the wear time of my makeup, settled down the powders and had a fine mist.
Would I repurchase?: If I find an unscented version then yes.
Super hydrating, had a very fine mist and settled down the powders very well. It felt refreshing and removed that powdery look to the skin.
Would I repurchase?: No – only because it’s available on a single site that solely sells this product and you only get 50 ml of product (which means I run out of it very quickly).
This concealer is incredibly hydrating, light-weight and basically sits on the skin like air. I love wearing it under the eyes and it covers quite lovely (of course I always need a corrector with any concealer because the darkness under my eyes is bad). Only three shades which are a bummer but formula wise it’s a dream!
Would I repurchase?: Yes! I plan to repurchase it very soon, when making an Adore beauty order!
My absolute favorite concealer from Maybelline! It has a thin consistency, hydrating formula, covers nicely, and lasts nicely with minimal creasing! Every time I use this concealer I love how my under eyes look! It needs to come out in a lot more shades – everyone should be able to enjoy this concealer
Would I repurchase?: I already have repurchased it, PLUS a backup.
A fine and even mist, light-weight, hydrating and refreshing. I loved how soothing and refreshed the skin felt. But it didn’t blow me away and I wish their bottle had been bigger.
Would I repurchase?: No. For $18.50 AUD you only get 50 ml of product.
An OG favorite for me! For a while I happily used this and enjoyed it, then I started to really like it. I love using this as my AM cleanser because my skin is left incredibly clean, fresh and smooth but it isn’t dried out at all. I love that you get a super gentle scrub as well! You get a whopping 200 ml of product as well and for a $60 AUD ish price range, I think that’s fair for how long it lasts.
Would I repurchase?: I have other cleansers to use up at the moment but I’ll definitely repurchase this.
Very hydrating, refreshing and gentle on the skin. It’s only $9 AUD which is a bargain for a Mecca product and you get a lot of product – a lot of other brands charge more for a facial mist and give you less product.
Would I repurchase?: I’ll definitely add a bottle or two of this in my next Mecca order.
Gentle, hydrating and it makes a fantastic second cleanse. On its own, I don’t find it cleansing enough but as a second cleanse (following a cleansing oil) – it gets a bit of all those remnants of makeup. When I go in with micellar water as step 3, no traces of makeup show up on the cotton round.
Would I repurchase?: I definitely plan to pick up a backup of this cleanser.
I used this as a second cleanse and it was quite nice, it definitely takes off all the makeup very nicely and doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky residue. It also didn’t irritate my skin or cause it to break out.
Would I repurchase?: No. I liked it but it didn’t blow me away enough to drop $40 bucks on it.
An absolute classic! It helps brighten the skin, smooth the skin and I feel like it prevents potential breakouts as it’s an acid and kills potential bacteria can cause breakouts. It’s also soothing, gentle and hydrating on the skin. I’m so hooked on this product, no wonder it’s a classic.
Would I repurchase?: Absolutely, I plan to get myself a backup ASAP and I’ll be reusing the large bottle with a pump!
A lovely, light-weight and natural foundation. It’s quick and easy to apply, hydrating doesn’t look heavy and has minimal creasing. I do wish it had more coverage (I need all the coverage I can get under the eyes). Also if this becomes a daily staple for you-you’ll be running out of it quite quickly.
Would I repurchase?: No. I love the age rewind and master conceal concealers more than this one.
It’s a lovely fine misted hydrating facial mist that is designed to be used in your PM routine but you can use it any time really. It’s refreshing and hydrating but nothing overly special and the spray cap eventually went weird and started squirting the toner out rather than an even mist.
Would I repurchase?: No. it was nice but not overly special.
This mask is HOLY GRAIL STATUS! I’m a love of AHAs/BHAs and this mask is of course packed with all of that but this mask has made an improvement to my skin that no other product has been able to do – it got rid of the small bumps! Texture is a big issue for my skin and it’s normal for my skin to get “bumps” that aren’t pimples but just random bumps. They occur randomly and aside from them happening if my skin is being exposed to heavy hydrating products (which is the only cause I know) this mask helps get rid of them and give my skin a smoother complexion. My only pet peeve is that the mask is so watery so it’s awkward applying it and you have to be careful you don’t accidentally spill it. But for the results, it’s absolutely worth it!
Would I repurchase?: I already have repurchased, It’s hands down in my top 3 favourite face masks!
This is quite a lovely micellar water! It’s gentle, doesn’t leave my skin sticky or greasy, removes makeup residue, doesn’t break me out, and comes in a massive bottle while still being affordable. This stuff gets two thumbs up from me!
Would I repurchase?: Yes and I’m already up to my second bottle!
When I set out to finish this setting spray I was like “I just want to finish this up” but then as I was using it I was like dam this is a good setting spray. It has a fine and even mist, it settles down the powdery look and it leaves my makeup looking fresher for longer. My only pet peeve is that you only get 48 ml which is annoying considering it doesn’t take super long to use up a setting spray. Other than that, it’s a bargain and a really awesome setting spray.
Would I repurchase?: Yes – but not right away as I have many setting sprays to go through
A lovely hydrating serum, packed with hyaluronic acid. It’s quite similar to the ordinary’s hyaluronic acid though formula wise it feels fancier. It sinks in quickly, packs in the hydration and leaves a tacky residue that subsides as soon as you slap on your moisturizer over the top!
Would I repurchase? Yes if I catch it on sale.
And that wraps up this post! Have you guys tried out any of the products mentioned today? What products have you emptied? Drop a comment and let’s have a chat! I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you in the next post.
