W7 ‘Very Vegan’ Highlighter Powder

I like bargain makeup! When you find a product that works both beautiful and doesn’t obliterate your bank account- that’s a nice feeling. Now in Australia “drugstore” makeup brands aren’t all that affordable. We seem to pay 2x as much compared to other countries on cosmetics and this applies to “affordable” makeup brands as well. W7 is a brand that actually happens to be affordable in Australia and I’ve stumbled upon a killer product from them that literally retails for $5 – I spend more on coffee!

So of course I’m going to talk your ears off about it.

Let’s jump in!

Does it work with many skin tones? I’d say so, only those who are stark white perhaps will find it not as glowy or it may give off a bit more pigment than glow.

What is the finish of the highlighter (Metallic/satin/glittery?) The highlighter is a cross between metallic and satin. It essentially gives your cheekbones a strong beam of light that looks gorgeous but also intense!

Is it too subtle? It’s definitely not subtle. I won’t say it’s the most blinding but if you are into super subtle highlighters, this won’t be for you.

Is it available in many shades? No just the one and it’s a light champagne/beige shade.

Day or night time wear? You could wear it both, for those who only like highlighter at night this will also work for you and perhaps you may find it too much for day time wear. At night I do wear 2-3 kinds of highlighter because I am crazy about blinding highlights.

Where is it best for applying on the face? Cheekbones of course. This also makes a lovely inner corner highlighter and brow bone highlight.

Packaging? The packaging is chunky and not the most photogenic I’ll admit. It’s chunky white plastic compact with a green font a mirror on the inside.

Price: $4.99 AUD

Availability: Chemist Warehouse, W7 Site (UK & US)

Formula? Smooth and buttery! It glides onto the skin, it doesn’t look chunky but it isn’t super finely milled either.

Pros: Blinding, buttery, easy to apply, also works for night time wear, the shade is flattering on many skin tones and it’s affordable AF.

Cons: The packaging is chunky and not very cute looking.

Rating: 8/10

Overall thoughts: I love this highlighter! It’s gorgeous, glowy, pretty and just so freaking good for $5. I can’t get over how intense it looks and it lasts nicely on the skin as well. This is one highlighter I highly recommend you check out.

Would I repurchase? Not that I need any more highlighters, but this one is a big big maybe!

And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried this highlighter powder or any makeup from W7 cosmetics? Tell me your favorite products from them in the comments below! I hope you all have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.

This highlighter looks so beautiful! At least the packaging is the worst thing about it, and the highlighter is still fab. It looks like such a beautiful colour xx
