LA. Girl PRO HD Foundation

Hello, there gorgeous humans!

You guys know I take reviews seriously because what’s beauty blogging if not sharing our experiences with products. I’m super excited about today’s one because it’s a good one! So sit back, relax and let’s jump in!

What are the claims of this foundation?: This foundation claims to be long-wearing, with an illuminating finish. It also claims to be medium to full coverage and that it will give you a smooth, long-wearing flawless-looking finish.

Does it deliver on these claims?: I believe it does deliver on its claims! It easily gives you medium to full coverage. It’s a very dewy foundation (to some it may seem greasy or that wet kind of dewy look) I personally love it! And it does look smooth and flawless on the skin. Longevity wise – it lasts very well on my skin! Now my skin is dry/dehydrated with an oily t-zone. I can’t guarantee if you have oily skin this will be a long-lasting foundation for you.

Coverage: Medium to full coverage. Very buildable!

Skin types appropriate for this foundation: Dry/dehydrated skin would love this foundation because it’s very hydrating and gives you an ultra glowy look.

Longevity: It lasts really well on my skin! Even when I wore this foundation during the hot summer weather while I may have looked extra shiny because a dewy foundation + weather that makes you sweat like a dog = you looking shiny AF. Even though I’d look on the shiny side after spending the day sweating the foundation itself didn’t wear off or break apart. The shininess is just what happens when you wear a dewy foundation during a heatwave.

Application: I love to apply the foundation using a foundation brush whether it’s a flat type style or more rounded. Then once I’ve applied it with a brush I go over it with a beauty blender.

Packaging: It’s a typical foundation packaging. A clear plastic bottle with a black lid and a pump.

Formula: The formula is on the runny side, not as runny as a watery foundation like the urban decay naked foundation but definitely not thick. It’s super hydrating, blends easily and gives a very dewy foundation.

Pros: It’s hydrating, AFFORDABLE, easy to blend, has a lovely dewy finish and lasts very well on the skin.

Cons: I wish I had access to this brand in-store rather than online but other than that the foundation itself I adore!

Shade range: There are 15 shades in total

Price: $19.40 AUD

How much product are you given?: You get 28 ml just below the average of 30 ml you get in a typical foundation

Availability: Beauty bay, Crush cosmetics and Ry.com.au (sold for $18 AUD)

Rating: 7.5 / 10

Overall thoughts: This foundation is definitely an absolute gem from the drugstore! It covers well, blends well and basically looks incredible on the skin. I will say it’s insanely dewy so if you don’t like super dewy foundations, this may not be for you. I’m even starting to back away from super dewy foundations because I find that my oily t-zone, takes a dewy foundation and makes it look greasy AF in 2-3 hours tops. If you have super dry skin, this will be a foundation you’ll love!

Would I repurchase this?: No. I’m trying to be very very picky with what foundations I repurchase and just purchase in general. As you guys know I’m a bit of a foundation hoarder and it’s gotten to the point where it’s starting to overwhelm me, so I’m trying to rein it in with foundations, especially dewy foundations!

And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried this LA girl foundation or even the concealer? What were your thoughts? Drop a comment and let’s talk! I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see you in the next post.

I never tried the L.A. Girl products, but this Foundation sounds really good. I love when they give that dew look 🙂

I’d repurchase it immediately if I wasn’t trying to limit the super glowy foundations in my collection. x

I have never tried L.A. Girl Foundation before. While this sounds very nice I have skin on the more oilier side, but I love the dewy look. Maybe I’ll give this a show closer to the winter months.

Yes, this foundation does no one who is trying to control shine any favours, when I use to wear it I’d only use it in winter. x

Wow, I actually forgot that LA Girl had a foundation. I might give this a skip because I’m picky when it comes to my more dewy foundations. Excellent review!

I’ve wanted to try this foundation for a while and now I want to try it even more. I wish I could get this in-store instead of online too because I find it difficult choosing shades online haha! Great review!

Shade range matching is so tricky, even in-store I struggle. x
