With every product I try, I become more and more obsessed with this brand! I didn’t realize it but bronzers are one category they slay and this particular one is quite unusual for me. I don’t usually gravitate towards bronzers that have a lot of pink in them but one of my blogger friends raves about this bronzer so I had to try it.
Spoiler alert: I’m obsessed and I’ll tell you why in this review!
Let’s jump in!
What are the undertones? (Warm/cool/neutral): The tones of this bronzer is definitely neutral (with the slightest cool undertones but in no way does it look muddy or grey on the skin) It also doesn’t look pink-toned or like you’ve used blush as bronzer – despite the amount of pink weaved into this bronzer.
Is it easy to blend? Yes! It blends out super quickly, you just need the right brush! I like to use a small-medium sized fluffy brush with this bronzer rather than a big fluffy brush (which I pair with different bronzers). You want precision with this bronzer as it’s quite pigmented.
Does it work well on fair-skinned?: Yes, but you want to make sure you don’t apply too much. It works quite nicely with fair skin but it can easily go too far if you apply too much or use a big bronzer brush. A little goes a long way with this one!
Would this bronzer also work for contouring/”brontouring”? You can get more of a “brontouring” effect with it and with fair skin tones as it’s quite pigmented it does give a more sculpted effect.
Is it goof-proof? It’s not as goof-proof compared to their milk chocolate bronzer for me but as long as you go in with a small fluffy brush you should be fine. The main thing is not using a gigantic brush with this – you need precision and to not apply too much product.
Does it work as a blush as well?: I can apply this over the cheeks and it does give my cheeks a flushed/neutral look to them. The fairer your skin tone is the more of a blush effect it will give and I actually quite like it because your cheeks have life without looking too pink. This is a great option for when you don’t want your cheeks to take over your makeup look but still have life to them.
Longevity: It lasts quite nicely throughout the day. I wouldn’t say this powder has bulletproof wear time but it doesn’t disappear too quickly. The foundation (and your base in general) that you wear, will also determine just how long this lasts.
Finish: Radiant/matte. It isn’t shimmery or metallic and has a subtle satin finish that just gives life to the skin and doesn’t make things look flat.
Packaging: Sleek compact (with a mirror) with a cute peach imprint over the top and the powder itself has a lattice effect.
How much product do you get? 12 g
Price: $46 AUD
Pros: Pigmented, flattering on fair skin tones, works so well as a bronzer despite having lots of pink in it. Also works as a neutral-toned blush, the packaging is super duper cute, doesn’t have a flat finish but doesn’t look sparkly on the skin. I think the price point for a high-end bronzer is also fair. It also has a nice scent to it@
Cons: You don’t want to apply this with a large bronzer brush, a little goes a long way so be careful not to apply too much.
Overall thoughts: This bronzer is seriously impressive! It’s one of a kind compared to the other bronzers I own and I’m a picky person when it comes to bronzers. I have a small but Holy Grail collection and I know exactly what I like. If it doesn’t work out for me or performs average than it’s immediately a hard pass. This is a winner and too faced clearly knows what they are doing when it comes to bronzers.
Would I repurchase it?: A big big maybe!
And that wraps up this review! Have you guys tried this bronzer from Too Faced or any other too faced products? Drop a comment and share your thoughts? I hope you have an awesome day and I’ll see you in the next post.
