Empties #7 – 6 months’ worth of products I used up!

It has been quite some time since my last empties post – gotta love the procrastination a full-time job can cause when it comes to all things blogging. So rather than dividing this post into 2-3 posts (when the empties will keep on coming). I’m going to hit you with all the 6 months’ worth of products I used up! I’m going to keep it SUPER straight to the point with all these products otherwise it will take a week to read this post!

If you guys have any additional questions about any products, always feel free to drop a comment!

Let’s dive straight in!

Pixi ‘rose-infused’ mist *

This was hydrating, finely misted. I do wish it came in a much larger bottle (like the other mists) but it doesn’t. I enjoyed using it but I went through it quite quickly and it would just require to be repurchased too often!

Nivea micellar water x2

It’s gentle, affordable (micellar water isn’t worth the extra $$) doesn’t break me out or irritate my skin and you get a whopping 400 ml! I’m already up to my third bottle and will definitely keep repurchasing!

Pixi rose-infused ceramide *

Loved loved loved this! I can definitely see why ceramides are raved about. I used it as a nighttime moisturizer and it was super nourishing but not so heavy that it congested my skin and gave it bumps. Will definitely be repurchasing it in winter!

Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ setting spray

Stating the obvious here! I’m onto another bottle and have a backup and will be repurchasing this setting spray till I’m an old lady!

Medik8 ‘Night ritual Vitamin A’ cream * |Review|

Super nourishing and a great way to start the retinol game. Helped my skin’s complexion become brighter and it wasn’t too heavy. I enjoyed it but I’ve only just begun with getting into retinol so I’ll be looking at other options in the future.

Pixi H2O Skin drink *

Light-weight. Hydrating and sits so well under makeup. I happily used it up but it wasn’t game-changing to pick up another tube.

Juno & Co Velvet sponge

OBSESSED – is an understatement. I literally have about another 5 backups. One of my favorite tools for applying foundation and it’s only 9 bucks! A review post is coming soon, watch this space!

Rimmel ‘Insta & go’ setting spray

I did notice a difference in my makeup staying fresher for longer – nothing compared to Urban decay and the means of spraying the product wasn’t as fine and even as I’d like. I won’t be repurchasing.

Laneiage ‘Waterclay mask’ *

Such a gentle clay mask. Your skin feels detoxed, clean and soft without feeling tight. It’s not the most widely available mask but if I spot this on a site I happen to be shopping on, I’ll definitely add it to the cart.

Pixi glow tonic * |Review|

I’ve lost count of how many bottles I’ve gone through and I do have several backups. It’s a forever thing with this one (unless my skin becomes too used to it and then I’ll have to take a break).

Nutrimetics ‘Clarifying clay’ treatment mask *

This stuff is like an exorcism on your face. It’s intense and gets everything out which is why I basically only use it on my nose (or t-zone at best). It’s only available on the Nutrimetics website and I’ve been too lazy to repurchase it from there but I’m seriously missing this mask in my life.

Beauty blender sponge

No better way to apply and blend concealer! as well as further blend foundation. I got many back-ups in the arsenal!

Dermalogica skin hydrating booster *

Filled with hyaluronic acid goodness, light-weight – stickiness isn’t unbearable and goes away once you apply your moisturizer. I loved using this as a serum but you can mix it into the moisturizer. Ps. Works so good under makeup! I have too many serums to get through, won’t be repurchasing.

Medik8 Liquid peptides serum *

Hydrating, nourishing and lovely. It definitely made my skin feel lovely but didn’t magically change my skin and for its price tag, I won’t be repurchasing.

Pixi Phenomenal gel *

I really enjoyed this! It has a gel-cream formula, super hydrating and light-weight and gentle on the skin. It was an awesome morning moisturizer and I see myself repurchasing it in the future!

Maybelline ‘The Falsies Angel push up’ Mascara |review|

Long-time readers will know how I feel about Maybelline mascaras and this is one of my all-time favorites. I’ve been lazy but I need to repurchase this the moment I catch it on sale!

Maybelline age rewind concealer |review|

I have loved this concealer for years and even though I’ve forgotten about it now and then, every time I use it – I fall in love! It’s the best concealer for work because it’s so fuss-free and I’m already halfway through my next tube and I need to get myself several backups!

Makeup revolution ‘The Mascara’

The formula was too thick/dry and I just have so many other mascaras (especially drugstore) that I preferred. I won’t be repurchasing.

Makeup revolution ‘Conceal and define’ concealer

Hydrating sits nicely under the eyes though you will need a good setting powder to prevent creasing as its very hydrating. It’s also easy to blend and I have several backups!

Too faced ‘Hangover primer’ |Review|

It’s a lovely primer but I have tried several high-end ones I prefer much more and the revolution pro primer and hydrate is a DUPE for this primer and much more affordable. I won’t be repurchasing.

Palmer’s ultra-gentle cleansing oil

I’ve repurchased this several times before. It’s super nourishing and takes off the makeup so well and rinses well without my face feeling super oily. Not sure if those with oily skin will love it but I sure duo. I’ve already repurchased it!

House of immortelle cleansing oil *

Another incredible cleansing oil. Removed makeup without leaving my face greasy. I would repurchase this if it was easily available. Not going out of my way to purchase it directly from the brand website.

Avene ‘Gentle milk’ cleanser *

Thanks to this bad boy I’ve become obsessed with cleansing milks – they make such incredible (second cleanses) following a cleansing oil. Nourishing, removed makeup residue and provided lots of TLC for the skin! I will be repurchasing it as soon as I catch it on sale.

Nivea ‘Aqua sensation’ day cream    |Review|

This my third tub of moisturizer and it’s basically the only (non-gel-cream) moisturizer I love! It’s nourishing, smells like a spa, sinks into the skin super quickly and makes my skin happy. I will eventually repurchase down the line!

Murad ‘retinol youth’ renewal serum*

A lovely serum, not harsh or irritating and provided hydration as well but I’m fairly new to the retinol game and want to do my research before deciding the next retinol product

B-Labs Cleansing oil *    |Review|

I loved this cleansing oil. This would be a perfect option for those with oily skin because it literally leaves no residue on the skin! Works like a cleansing oil and removes makeup so well without any greasiness. It’s not widely available but I definitely want to repurchase it, it’s worth the hassle!

Cinch Face cheat moisture + Glow *

A very fine and even mist! Your skin gets an immediate glow as the product has a pearlescent glow to it. It would also work well for under over/makeup use! If it’s on sale I will repurchase.

Hourglass mineral veil primer (small sample)

Best dam primer to ever exist! Worth the high price tag and I’ve repurchased a full bottle, I’ll save my raving for the review itself as this post is already ridiculously long.

Wet n Wild matte setting spray   |Review|

Finely and evenly misted, settled down the powdery look and kept my face fresher for longer but for only 49 ml – not worth the constant repurchases and waste of packaging that it would entail!

Neutrogena Hydroboost gel cleanser

You guys know how I feel about the hydro boost range! The fragrance is a little much but this was a lovely morning cleanser, did the trick without being harsh and drying on the skin.

And that wraps up this post! Wow, I actually managed to write this post without writing a semi-novel about each product. Yay me! Have you guys tried any of the products mentioned here today? Be sure to drop a comment and let me know! As always I hope you all have the best day, I love you guys and I’ll see you in the next post.

Thank you for reminding me about the Angel Push Up mascara, it was one of my favourites! I have tried that Nivea micellar water a few times but it doesn’t do anything for me unfortunately.

You can never go wrong with pixi skincare! I have tried their AHA wipes and I adore the night time extreme pads, they’re incredible and the dragon blood hyaluronic acid shot is so good!

I recently bought the Nivea micellar water and it’s SO good! I can’t believe it’s that affordable, definitely one I have to buy again.

I know but micellar waters aren’t worth a high price tag! My rule is as long as it doesn’t break me out or leave me with a sticky residue I’m good and it’s also an awesome thing when you get a lot of product in the bottle rather than having to repurchase every few weeks.

I can’t believe you kept all of these for that long!! But then again, I LOVE a good empties post and you never fail to deliver! I’m nearly half way through my micellar water from Nivea and am loving it, so much product for the price. I’ve got Pixi’s phenomenal gel in my collection which I’m going to use once I finish my current moisturiser.

It wasn’t on purpose – Adjusting to full-time work makes balancing blogging quite difficult. Love a good micellar water that’s also a bargain.

Love these types of posts for getting new products to try out! I haven’t ever tired out that Maybelline mascara but since all my favorites are maybelline will definitely try it out next. Also good to know you loved the mineral veil primer- I’ve always been curious about whether not it’s worth the splurge. Thanks for sharing these!

Maybelline mascaras are always awesome and that hourglass primer is 110% worth every scent (and I’m a drugstore makeup lover) but that primer is everything!
