Dermalogica is one of those brands that just works! It’s no mystery why this brand features in a lot of skincare clinics and spas. And today’s product is no exception to the ‘it just works’ theme.
When you have combination skin, your skin basically can’t make up its mind! It’s oily and congested but dehydrated but doesn’t like heavy moisturizers. Add to the fact my t-zone is out to get me with the oils and blackheads that can never seem to be managed.
So today’s product is review is for all you gals and guys out there with a t-zone that’s out for vengeance!
What does this product promise?
This product promises to rid the skin of blackheads and congestion. It applies like a cream and activates on the skin to foam up and “open” pores to clear out build-up. It is infused with Kaolin Clay and sulfur and provides anti-microbial benefits as well as purifying the skin and removing excess oil, still leaving the skin hydrated.
Does it achieve this?
Yes! Firstly, pores don’t open and close but whatever magic is in this bottle makes a huge difference! Firstly, it applies like a cream and foams up after a couple of minutes like a bubble mask. Now I am not going to pretend it eradicates every blackhead – to do so you require a lot of steam, accurate extraction and/or to get a facial. For a product that is used without steam – it works so well! I notice a huge difference in the texture and look of my nose when I use it. I apply it mostly on my nose and a little on my chin. I also notice, once rinsed off if you give your nose a squeeze – blackheads easily come out because it dislodges them. You do need consistency with it but my nose goes from bumpy, oily and congested, to smooth, soft and minimal blackheads appearing!
Plastic light-weight bottle with a pump!
How much product do you get?:
How many times a week do you use it?
It recommends to be used 2-3 times per week (more if needed)
Morning or night?:
Either – I like using this in the morning before makeup application
Light-weight gel cream that smooths over easily – foams up on the skin after a few minutes.
- Makes an enormous difference to the appearance of blackheads
- Clears up congestion
- Makes the nose feel so smooth and soft
- A very fair and decent price point
- Won’t completely eradicate blackheads in 1 go
Where can I buy it?
It’s the next best thing to using steam/going for a facial because it makes such a difference to my t-zone and there is really no other product like it. My go-to use to be a charcoal mask on the t-zone but that use to just soak up some excess oil and that’s it. This really does make such a difference to blackheads without even using steam. I’m obsessed and I cannot recommend this enough if like me you struggle with blackheads, especially on the nose!
Would I repurchase it?
I already have a backup!
And that wraps up this quick review! I thought I’d cut to the chase because this is an awesome product and you guys need to know exactly why it’s awesome without my usual waffling! Have you guys tried this mask? What are your go-to blackhead eradicating products? Drop a comment as I love hearing from you! I hope you guys have the best day and I’ll see you all next time. x B
